No talking, just walking. Exploring the Scottish Countryside. A nice gentle walk around the Craigvinean Forest, on a densely misty and foggy day! A beautiful walk following the path through the forest, the mist really adding to the atmosphere! A walk I really enjoyed! Did spot a small group of deer, but wasn't able to catch them on film unfortunately.

Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to TH-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

Thank you. I hope to do more forest videos, but there is not many English forests that match up to those up in Scotland. I am sure I'll return there again some time.

Thanks, Dave. I've been "taking" walks through the English and Scottish countryside while using an elliptical trainer. Some videos have music, some have no music but a little narration (but usually of painfully obvious details, e.g., here's a fence), and then here there's no music or narration, but the steady tramp of your feet helped me set a good pace. I also liked that you looked side to side occasionally; sometimes I wish I could reach through the screen on other videos and turn the camera from time to time (and I really hoped you'd go up that little trail a ways to see what was through the trees).
As I walked along with you, the quiet gave me time to think if there's anything that would add to the experience. I would like to know more about the area, such as some history, or some description of what the ferns and other brush are, or if that's a river we hear off to our left, somewhere down the slope, and if so, what is it's name? No need to be a chatterbox, but some timely captions scattered through the walk would have been interesting. Otherwise, thanks, and walk on!

Yeah quite the atmosphere, I was hoping for some animals, there isn't any dangerous animals in the forest, but quite a lot of dear which would of been nice to capture.
it's 104F/40C today and walking to this on my treadmill was much better than setting foot out of doors.

I was grabbed and gently shaken for a moment as I realized just now - watching this - why I feel an eerie and almost magnetic "kinship" to misty pine forests... with ferns about the forest floor. My ancestors from Scotland passed a love and an intrinsic familiarity and comfort to me of spaces just such as this! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Yeah, I was lucky to capture the fog, I was only in Scotland for a few days working, and that was my one day off and it was a foggy day!

I am out of shape and our state is in stay at home mode due to virus. This is perfect. I can gently march in place to the footfalls and enjoy the silence and fog. Thank you.

After some research, it turns out there is no predators or dangerous animals at all that reside in the UK. No wolves, bares, snakes or anything of the sort. So I felt really safe to be honest.

I very much hope to film again in Scotland. But it is a good 6 hour drive so unlikely to get there anytime soon! But if the opportunity arises again I very much will! 😊

Do you think you could do some videos of night walks? On nights in countryside, perhaps when the sky has moon & stars out? I find that soothing...
I do want to do some night walks at some point, may have to invest in new camera equipment though as the GoPro does not preform well at all in low light conditions. But it is on the cards :)
