It's already to refer back to the books or other sources! And, if you think about it a bit, you'll realize that NOT memorizing the meanings creates a level of abstraction between you and the cards that helps to clearify the interpretation. If you lived in the neighborhood, I'd say let's get together for coffee and talk Tarot. :) ... When I do readings, I put my energy into shaping the questions so that they can be answerable by the cards. Then, I reference my website for the interpretations. Look specifically at the cards page.
