- Superman is the most iconic superhero and arguably one of the most iconic people in fiction! But with the popularity comes a lot of people overrating and over inflating everything about him....
So that begs the question, is Superman REALLY as strong as you may think he is?
Lets Find Out!
As Always Thanks For Watching!

I'm OK with superman being faster than light and strong enough to move planets/suns but erasing universes with a tough ? Struggling to lift a truck ? No way , I prefer him not to strong not to weak but above all else I want him consistent.
*Agreed.*
Dude they can't even write Spider-Man consistently without him getting cucked. Get Goku's teenie-weenie Japanese weenie out yo mouth.
It's been confirmed that his strength is also heavily tied to his mental determination... A nice cop out for building level Superman stories
This is why powerscaling matters to make better stories, authors dont understand it.
REAL, now power scaling shouldn't be a main focus but in any good story consistency is key and it should be paid attention to
Like imagine in one issue Superman is off in space stopping solar system devouring monster....and in the next he is having trouble with normal city level threats 💀
He is strong as the plot needs him to be
Which goes for every dc and marvel superheroes
@@thabangpatiko9869 The way they treat speedsters is horrendous.
You can blame DC god for that one, regardless of who he goes against, he never really loses, this is irrefutable fact.
No matter his powers and abilities, or his accomplishments, Superman is not OP nor boring. Any aspect of OP or boring apply to any hero or villain said to be capable of defeating Superman.
We never hear such criticism toward Shazam, Martian Manhunter, WW, or even Marvel's Hulk and Thor, all believed capable of defeating Superman yet then not thought OP themselves for being able to defeat an OP character.
There's not one single fan of comics who can honestly relate more to a billionaire genius who's expert in all forms of combat over that of an alien just trying to live life as a human despite his godly powers.
Superman's greatest weakness is bad writing and worse characterization, not kryptonite or magic, both of which he can wield and/or can empower him.
Superman has no limits
What really bothers me is when people depict Superman as a brawler type character! When in reality he mastered the 2 forms of Klurkor(the Kryptonian martial arts styles)as well as being below batman in intelligence when he can thing and learn super fast plus he can remember everything he reads! Like one time he read an entire library of medical texts in a few seconds and then performed a complex surgery perfectly! Heck if he was as paranoid as Batman he could probably make more effective and efficient contingency plans...
Superman: Alright flash, do the thing. Oh, it's already done? Cool!
Batman: ...what was that?
Superman: oh, that, I just had the flash rip his (The Marsupial Boy What Does The Chuckling/The Batman Who Laughs/Queefs) heart out at the speed of fucking time.
He isn't too strong, he isn't too weak. He is just a lazy inconsistent character like most of Marvel/DC characters.
This comics characters are not even suitable to be compared with another comic character so it is pointless to compare this inconsistent comic character's with other fictional characters like manga/anime

Superman's best ability and powers is plot armor. He keeps getting new powers that are needed for the story at the time. He used to only be able to leap tall buildings and now he can fly and so on
thumbnail is accurate, absolutely a Goku victim
Can goku fight darkseid
I don't think Goku could erase a multiverse with a punch.
@@yarc9goku would beat the shot out of Darksied and then invite him to the family bbq
@jean-alexandre5801 Supes has been defeated handily by people who can't erase a miltiverse because his hands are for display only. Both Goku and Kal can end universes, but the difference is that Goku is the superior warrior.
@ darkseid won’t lose that easily
Superman is kind of the poster boy for “comic book characters are inconsistent.” There’s a pretty famous panel where it takes him with the help of Green Lantern and Wonder Woman to barely pull the moon out of its usual orbit. Then he has moments where he’s punching and shattering entire multiverses. These things are off on an order of magnitude that can’t be reconciled. I don’t mind either power level for Superman in a story, both moments have him fulfilling the “strongest guy around” role, but fans trying to insist that there is any kind of objective numerical value to Superman’s powers are irritating. Superman had flight, invulnerability, super strength, super speed, etc. I don’t need to attach any numbers to those ideas, nobody does.
Superman should be a planet buster at minimum and galaxy buster at his strongest. He should be powerful enough that the real challenge for him is to use his brains and his fists but when he has to fight someone on his level that is when you know shit hit the fan such as the Doomsday fight.
Yes he is.
He smacks Goku and always will lol
It's Superman in many different stories and scenarios. None of them are consistent. Depending on the story, the convinient plot armour will always shit out a new power or ability out of his ass. Its truly the most uninteresting character.
The reason they make superman weak is make the stories more of a big of a deal but end of the day it's the writer with some weak stupid plot toying great character like him just to make they story relevant but it's some absolutel bullsshit story they write.
2:10 This isn't Superman
This is Superman
@@OmniScxient fused with Ultraman and Superman
most characters are inconsistent in anime and in comics. It's usually to make the story more interesting but they don't keep in mind about scaling or consistency
anime/manga character's are consistent. They're written by one writer n doesn't have multiple multiverse version of themselves. And their story actually ends unlike Marvel/dc comics.
@@Mi-Jung_Kim-tq2bl toei is inconsistent
Superman is as strong, fast, durable and powerful as the story requires him to be.
Why?
Because Superman is a tool to tell stories.
Same as Batman. Same as Spider-man.
Too all the superman fanboy here i love Superman set of power but theres one reason i dont want him to be planetary OP or universal level threat and that is steven seagal 😂😂 like how boring does it get when he has no real threat or consequences from physical attack theres no repercussions in getting hit and etc its always good to put some stake into characters so that their victories are that much more worth it
Superman is a character who got smashed by city level fodders to break the concept of fiction itself
That. Gets. *Old.*
what city level fodders are you talking about ?
@ Remember the original Justice League cartoon from the DCAU?
Yes, yes he is all powerful, its been stated multiple times Superman is one of the pillars of reality, and is specifically blessed by God Almighty. No joke.
This make me honestly Wonder how TF Krypton ended in the first place
Superman is a character who died by getting hit really really hard 😂
Eeehh no.
Superman still smashes Goku
No offense to Goku he’s a goat he’s dope. He’s my childhood and if they probably did actually fight in a crossover, it would probably just end up in a draw. ……………………………………………………………………………. Or I could go like death battle.
Oh yeah, they made at least 2 part for them. I know what Goku is capable of (sort of) but to reach that point, he has to transform. Superman doesn't. As long as there's a yellow star he's quick enough to defeat Goku if he doesn't hold back. But Ultra Instinct or what's the current highest form beyond Super Saiyan God is pretty much a universe-breaker fight nonetheless
Them making Superman lose to so MANY fodder level enemies only makes Goku look even *worse.*
@@SabeNo-rh7mb death battle didn’t make Superman lose
@@CarlosGarcia91000 Not what I meant. I’m talking about how Superman regularly gets disrespected by his own writers by losing to enemies he *Should* be able to BEAT.
Yes. Unless horrible writing.
Kirby solos it all that crying superman is overpowered I don’t get it so many characters are overpowered
Its all just bad bad writing.
How
@Geralddd966 He randomly keeps getting new powers and the ones he have they ignore any basis or guidelines they create whenever they want. Superman is the purest definition of a Broken Character.
