The guy has a point. Fans of decaf are true coffee lovers. You are drinking it purely for the taste. Caffeine is a secondary consideration.

Absolutely, a good coffee shop should have good decaf as well, high quality and fresh beans, well dialed in. There are many time and place for decaf for coffee lovers, when pregnant, when you want a 3rd coffee and it's late in the day, etc.

I buy a 400g bag of freshly roasted beans of regular coffee for my espresso but also a 400g of quality decaf, obviously with the Swiss water treatment, so I have no stress to drink early enough my 2nd coffee late in the evening and can even take one at midnight of I feel like it but usually at 10:00pm. Both are perfectly dialed in on my single dose "Ceado E37SD" so there's no problem when I switch from one to the other within the same day!

Due to intense side effects from caffeine, I've been decaf for several years now, but love coffee. I would see all of these interesting coffee flavors online, but rarely decaf. I started looking into what it would take to create my own brand of flavored decaf because decaf drinkers are people too. Then I found a flavored decaf and tried it... such a horrid chemical taste. And that was the end of my flavored decaf adventure lol So now I just enjoy my decaf either straight up or with a few drops of caramel or maple extract. Yum!

Terrible trend with these coffee places. Even Starbucks used to regularly offer decaf. Now it’s waiting for a watery pour-over or decaf espresso (yuck). If it were up to me, it would be standard order for these coffee places to always offer a fresh decaf coffee. Always. It’s coffee. These places now have a million different sugary, syrupy, foamy options but no longer a simple decaf coffee option. Some people like to drink coffee later in the day but not be revved up and manic and unable to sleep. Shameful.

When you LOVE coffee and the doctor says dial the caffeine way down and it will eliminate your health issue and then… it does.

When was the last time some of these people even tried decaf? 😅 There are several experimental decafs with loads of flavour at the moment. Everyone can suddenly become too sensitive to caffeine, but that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy the taste.

Yep, there are a lot of great decaf coffees being roasted out there. Some are fans and some are not!

Decaffeinated coffee is good. If you intake too much caffeine you can dial it back with decaf. I for one love coffee and like to get coffee throughout the day. Decaf is a good before bed.
