  • Autumn is already in the air. This recording is a brief introduction for one use for summer winter threading using 8 shafts. There are many ways to thread a loom to weave summer winter. This threading has been so much fun for me. I have been able to create patterns for bunnies, jack-o-lanterns, Santa faces, trees and more. Several patterns, including one for pumpkins are available in my shop.

    When weaving the green at the top of the pumpkin, are you creating long green floats on the back that float from pumpkin to pumpkin?

      Good question. Since this is a Summer Winter block or unit threading there are no long floats like you may get when weaving overshot. If I could add a photo to show you here…you would see a row of green on the back that looks the orange you see. I hope this makes sense.
