Great idea. I watched a Starling Squadron go through our yard and chase out any birds in the trees in our yard. Then I watched one snap off the pepper plants in my wife's garden. Their days are now numbered. Can you give any dimensions to the trap? Well done!
Great idea. If you have plans to share to build it please let me know :) I'm from Europe and the ones I'll catch will not go to America, a little help from overseas
I’m sorry but I don’t have any plans. I’m a machinist and saw the concept on line and made one. I think you should be able to find some type of plans somewhere on the web. Thanks for your comment.
I used washers and a small chunk of steel that I picked out of the trash at work. As far as the cantilever it’s another piece of steel it picked out of the trash at work. Troyer’s Bird’s Paradise might have a setup that you can buy. Check out their website. Thanks for watching and commenting on my videos.
I love it the starlings are invading my soffits and Attic So Bad I think I'll give this a try and out of the 90° PVC pipe that you have I'll probably put a potato sack at the end of it that way I know how much of a booty of I have. Thanks so m 6:13 uch and ingenious ideal.
Thanks for the tips, Jeff. I caught my first starling today with this type of trap which is amazing because its the end of August!
Enthusiasm is awesome here. Starlings are a menace.
Yes they are!!! Thanks for watching our videos and your comments!!!
Shout outs from north Michigan
Love the trap, also Bush 04’ God bless you
Anyone that likes Martins and hates starlings is OK in my book.
I don’t have any need for starlings. I wish the would go back to Europe!!
Thanks for watching our videos and your comments!!
That is very clever! Thank you for sharing.
It’s so simple, but works so good. Hopefully I’ll have video of a catch before to long.
What’s the hole size
2 inch.
Awesome video Jeff!!!

Starlings are pretty ugly but are the farmers friend. They do an incredable job removing destructive bugs and grubs.
You have a point. But they are not good for our cavity nesting birds.
and not good for farmers crops! Thanks for sharing

What did you use for the weight and cantilever?

What do you do to the birds you catch? Little pup snacks?
They go to the train station.
Thanks to Biden/Kamala's inflation I can't afford two nuts.
🤣😂 I heard that!!
Top man
Please kill every starling that you catch! Don’t relocate them and let them be somebody else’s problem!
Nesting in your gourds? You must be from another culture; my only gourd is my head.
🤣🤣 thanks for watching our videos and your comments
