All professional sports athletes have huge expensive homes, NASCAR drivers are no different. They’ve earned it so why should they be denied an extravagant lifestyle.
I've done well for myself and family .. I live in a 4000 sq log cabin, using solar power and a well for water .. I drive a 12 yr old truck and don't have fancy art or things we don't need .. We try to help out anyone who needs it, because I" sooo remember what it was like to struggle.. If you ever make more than what you need to survive take the time to help others..
These guys put their lives on the line every time they strap in, they should enjoy their off-track lives to the absolute full extent. I'd have 500 acres, 5,000 sqft house and a 10,000 sqft shop.
AH KENNY YOU ARE BY THE OCEAN WISH I WAS THERE WAS BORN AS THE CROW FLYS ABOUT 5 MILES FROM THE PACIFIC. THE OCEAN WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD
300 sqft baby, if i had those salaries and went all over the country i would have a home in every city. a nice home but one that could easily be resold. maybe condo on golf course, duplex so no maintenance needed, rent out the other half to pay for unit, ain't nothing wrong with cash in bank paying 5% here lately, home in effingham got massive lights, sits up on hill north side of 70, what a frickin pain, and the taxes, and the electrical costs, and the insurance, and prop taxes DOIN GREAT STUFF KENNY, familiar with 21 cause i lived in AFFTON and worked at HAAS BAKERY at 17, peace out, enjoy the white sands
The way i took at it the drivers are looking at their over sized houses as a investment and a place to entertain friends family and sponsors. And when they decided to sale 90% of the time make money when they sale them.
People do tend to let their pride affect their choices. Nobody needs more home than they can use. I agree with Mike, don't buy the big house. Too much upkeep.
To be totally honest I'm old school, with that kind of money I would buy a Frank Lloyd Wright home. Something with character. I'm a 1960's and 70's sort of guy.
Nothing wrong with that. To each their own. Roughly 900 sq ft for me lol. 2 beds, one bath, and a car port. According to social media I am a looser lol. If I had that kind of money I don't know what I would do. A mansion just seems overwhelming. Like owning a commercial building. I'm an HVAC service tech and go into some million dollar homes that have 4 to 7 systems for HVAC for the house. Something is always breaking. Shit would drive me nuts. I couldn't do it lol. The light bulb thing alone would drive me nuts😂😂😂. There are 3 we do ma on that are probably 12,000 to 15,000 sq feet. One guy is a doctor that also owns a bunch of pharmacies. He has a basement that is set up all mid evil with big TV and pool table. It's like a dungeon. It's wild. I don't know how they handle dealing with all the people that come to there house to fix this or that and do all the yard stuff.
I got 2 two tickets in the same day by the same cop in 1979 bike week at Daytona. Cop was a total prick, never went again. Have fun with your brother! Daytonas cool !
Kenny all we're doing on this earth is renting things. It all belongs to the Good Lord anyways. We're just occupying it right now. Just think, One day someone else will not only be living in your house, but driving your vehicles as well. You are right, most professional sports players are WAY over paid. Football, NBA, MLB...It's ridiculous. Funny after some of them retire, they're so use to this extravagant lifestyle, they're broke in a few years.
I have 5 different classes of race care.3 street stocks 1 pro truck and 1 late model. A 75 vett. Chevy 3 Chevy trucks a Harley 2 new dirt bikes so on and so on. Why cuz I can...
Like you Kenny i watch the F1 and you guys travel a lot in a RV race to race. Also go to the factory and do PR Stuff. So unless you have a wife and children you don't need a big home. Rock stars and actors are the same big mansion and rarely use them. I would go for a gated community with good security to protect my stuff when i am on the road.
People can spend their money however they like. That said, the homes are as Kenny mentioned, a trophy. Some guys have trophy houses, some have trophy wives some have both. I can't imagine why anyone needs to live in and maintain such a large house. Many of the larger house are very hard to sell. Its not that no one has the money to buy them its more about if they have that kind of cash to spend on a house they will build one to their specifications rather than buy someone else's dream home. Ask Michael Jordan. His dream home has been on the market for at least 10 years. It started out at 29M and is currently still for sale at $14M. Imagine what it has cost him to maintain this place for 10 years....Expensive white elephant.
@@DavidClark-vu3dw I just took the "online" video tour. The best feature of the property is the beautiful grounds. The house is OK but most of us don't want or need a full size building devoted to a workout room and a full size basketball court. Its a guy place. Most married guys would not be able to sell their wives on it. Might be part of the problem selling it.
A very hard working truck driving career has had me in an 1800 sq ft home built in 1960 in southern CA since 1992. It's been added onto a couple times and numerous remodels, yet it still needs more. I would imagine a mansion, planned correctly, makes for some nice tax write offs. Maybe that's part of why some of them buy "them big homes".
It's called keeping up with the jones'. One driver built a huge house so the rest got to out do one another. When I retired I built me and my wife our retirement house. Not big, east to clean. It's 2 story, 600 sqft bottom 600 sqft top. 2 big rooms with a bathroom in each. No walls for bathroom in the bedroom. It's just us.

There is a "nascar" mansion on the lake we ride. We met the pit crew guy that owns it. Says he uses about a regular sized housed worth of space in his mansion. Sounds like a big huge waste to me. But to each their own
1375 sq ft. One car garage and I can't even remember how many different racecars we've run outta here. Wouldn't change a thing. Well, maybe a bigger garage. Bigger house would have been alright. But other than those two things. Maybe some sponsors with deep pockets. The thing is, we had more fun than you could shake a stick at. I guess we're ok right where we are. Good video, bro.
