Fun Fact: Pepsi did this ad a long time ago, doing a sip test. 9/10 people tested said Pepsi had the better taste. Coke company didn't believe that, so they ran their own tests and results were the same. Then, coke decided to change their recipe, which faced immediate backlash from the community. When coke reverted the formula, they did a *drink* test instead of a sip test, where the testers had more time to fully indulge the drink. Turns out, Pepsi's sweeter taste was more enjoyable nice since it was only one sip, but the more you drank it, the more tired of it you got. Unlike coke, since it's more savory, it was more enjoyable if you drank a whole can. And obviously no one's going to take a sip of Pepsi and leave it, they gon drink the whole can.
I hear so many people say this, I tried to google it but found no actual study, I think it’s just a false rumor that people believe nowadays and that Pepsi enjoyers spread further
The reason why McDonald's coke tastes like flavoured water is because they don't use the coke straight from the bottle. They make it in-store. The drink company provides the syrup, then employees are supposed to mix it with water.
A the soda fountain machine mixes it. In the back are bags of syrup. It's mixed when it's dispensed from the machine. That's why you see white soda water coming out with a stream of syrup for color and flavor
@@Seanctk10001 they had to mixture the gas tube process in order to make it portable, that includes other "ingredients" also the water they use on the factory is not always the same, do you think also deliver water? Do you know water taste differently?
@@tongkiparts4672 The difference in water is besides the point, Coca-cola is intrinsically flavored water which is what I was getting at. There are Coca-cola bottling partners all over North America that are shipped the syrup from Atlanta(in America at least) and they use local water sources to make the coke itself using the same exact syrup that's sent to restaurants. Essentially there is not a real difference between the coke you get from a bottle and coke from a soda fountain other the machine that's used to carbonate it. The real reason it tasted like flavored water in the video is because a cup with a lid is not well sealed, leading to more CO2 escaping before he drank it, and because the ice in the cup watered it down.
