  • In this video, I finally get to rip the Kill Devil Diesel, 600HP 6.0 Powerstroke crate engine and the Twisted Diesel Level 3 Transmission. I also give a review of the powerstop z36 brakes, the kilmat sound deadening, and the dasaita radio.
Finally enjoying the fruits of all my labor! This thing absolutely rips now!
Next video will be doing the 2011-2016 front end conversion.

    I have an 05 Excursion 6.0!
Studded, deleted, straight piped, KC stage 2 turbo, AirDog lift pump and Blessed Performance tune!
Injectors are my next mod. I have always had my eye on 190/30’s. After watching your video I’m DEFINITELY going with the 190/30’s!!
Keep the Excursion content coming!!! 👍

Sounds great Rob, thinking of doing the 190/30 injectors & the KC stage 2, also with lift pump and reg return. Watching this I basically see what I would get for power!! Interested to see your future Dyno video!! Great job!! Agreed, nothing out there sounds better than a healthy 6.0

I’ve been following and have to say that your doing a great job with this series. As a fellow Excursion lover, I’m always looking for quality content.
Your truck is turning out amazing. The new set up sounds incredible. Have you considered installing a locker set up for your rear axle? That way you keep the intended driveability and get to maximize traction when you want it.
Please keep posting, and congratulations on getting her back on the road!

Love the videos git a 6.0 05 with the captains chairs already in. Removed the center console so we can go to the back easier for the baby. But wanted to do the kilmat as well for the same reason now I'm not sure lol, but definitely gonna leave it stock but I thinknthe carli full kit is a must.

Appreciate the videos…. I’m looking for an ‘05 Excursion in the $15k range…. Add another $18k for the engine and tranny, and maybe another $5k for lifts and tires and it’s still cheaper than todays trucks and can tow 10k
    I’m saving now!

Get some mishimoto intercooler boots. Your still running factory ones which are old and drying out which will make them crack and you won’t build as much boost as possible then.

  • @2gnospam

Limited slip diff or something like that will make both tires spin on launch and hopefully get you a faster net 0-60.

Upgrade your gauge cluster to a 05-06 either white or black face gauge cluster that 03 cluster was the worst with no boost gauge and no color! When you buy one if you do try and get one with same mileage!

    • @GSXR1000Rob
      @GSXR1000Rob  2 ปีที่แล้ว

The fender flares are for a super duty and I had to modify them to fit. I did a detailed video on the process, part 7. It was a lot of work, but worth it in the end.

Oh wow, I just stumbled back into this video and realized I never saw your question!..
The stock CAC system has pipes with grooves and boots with a ridge inside that mates to it. The clamps go over it and it’s pretty strong. Many lesser-quality aftermarket systems lack the grooves and ridges. I used Riffraff and have no complaints.
Before you install boots, you need to clean them and the pipe really good. Use a non-residue cleaner that’s safe on the boots. I just used some stuff that was made for cleaning TV screens. You’ll know you got it right because once you slide the boot over the pipe, it’s very difficult to get back off! Make sure all grooves are mated to the ridges and that you have properly sized clamps.
That’s what I did on my trucks. Never had a problem after much heavy towing. Course, your X is making way more power than mine. 🙂🦅🇺🇸
