I think it is, for me. Since my lips are so small, gradients don't really work. If I did a gradient, my lips would almost disappear! ;_;
Katelyn Story umm well the purpose of this technique is to make your lips smaller because so many Asians want smaller lips yet many of them have big lips that's why they do this technique, if you already have small lips why would you want to make it smaller anyway.. small lips is beautiful just do lipstick like you normally would and it'd look good
Be happy to have small lips! :D You don't need to gradient lips when they're already small xD

this trick thing makes you lips look so crusty
because you're suppose to take care of your lips just like the rest of your body lol. just use a lip scrub and give your lips a mask aka millions of coats of your favorite lipbalm before using this.

that's what i mean haha, it makes the lips look crusty because you need a lot of care and lip scrub for your lips to make it less crusty. the concealer dries up your lips a little. and thank you. :))

you can still do the gradient. But what i do is to put a highlight on the cupid's bow and bottom of the lip. It helps to keep the form of the lips and they don't look like a thin pink line.
