I think they look kinda cool too. I mean that's pretty much the way a lip is supposed to look, in nature. So when they have no lines it seems a bit off. Idk to each his own but I like lines.

Hi Alex, I have no lips, the color almost matches my skin tone and they are razor thin. I've thought of punching myself in the face to get a plumper look. This seems less painful, I'll try it Peace Sheila.
I bought it as well and it only lasts 10 minutes max. My advice is to always use lip balm/vaseline in the morning and at night, use contour around your lips and a lip liner a few shades darker than your natural lips. Personally I take it very far with the lining on my bottom lip in the middle because it's not very noticeable>) then you can apply a nude liquid lipstick or a clear gloss in the middle. It seems like a lot of steps but it's not that much, I've got used to it perso!
Maybe try lip plumper that they sell at Ulta or Sephora

I have a thinner upper lip and have taken your contour advice and it really works. It takes some practice to make sure the colour is right and that it doesn't look dirty but a light hand and going through the steps to the end - not stopping to obsess on the contour - makes a nice finished product.
Without lipstick, the contour looks a bit weird, which is why I say one has to push through to the end.

I just this week was looking at some old pictures and I thought Man! My lips looked so good here! I know I definitely didn’t think so at the time. I realize that we never appreciate ourselves in the present so I’m really working on that. I ask myself what will future me look back and think looked fantastic today :)
Omg I had the exact same revelation a few years ago by looking at old pictures too and being like "hey I looked quite good!". I was 10kg lighter and thought I was fat, gross and hated my body at that time. We're definitely not appreciative enough of our present selves.

I love watching her videos. Her voice is so calming and it’s truly watching an artist. Personally I don’t have the patience to do makeup. Mascara and lipstick is all I can manage. I try brows but I can’t do them well. But somehow watching her do it all is very zen for me.

I don't contour my lips i just have a sticky lipgloss and than add 2 or 3 drops of vegetable glycerine which is super moisterising and makes your lips plumper that way. It also makes the sticky lipgloss less sticky which is how the experiment with the glycerine got started in the first place . :)

Thank you for providing an alternative to this trend of extreme over lining lips! 💋 I'm honestly feeling like one of the only ppl on this planet that isn't fond of this trend. I don't mind when someone just slightly over lines, that is the only undetectable technique I've seen until this video. So yeah, just wanted to say kudos and I hope this spreads like wildfire cuz I'm tired of looking at balloon lips all over my IG lol. Especially of ppl that already have naturally huge lips! I mean....wtf if you have them already!? Am I crazy? This is the most deceptive technique since the Bombshell bra, except now everyone's adding 2 cups sizes to their lips. 🤷♀️🤣

I do this placement but instead of a contour shade, I use blush. Usually, the same one I'll use on my cheeks that'll go with the lipstick 🖤 You're right it does make a difference.
Good tutorial. I have seen people doing insane dark full circle contour around their lips and I know there is no way- offline, in daylight that it looks good. This felt much more subtle and believable and less like you have an accidental makeup mustache. Interested to see if I can make it work on my pale skin or if it will be too obvious and harsh.
I love that under the bottom lip contour trick. I do the same thing to make my tiny flat chin look like it sticks out a little more.
Admittedly I had low expectations for a personal result with this technique… but, DUDE! I am loving this. Thank you!

I occasionally do this. It started with a Kat von D video of contoured red and black lips and the effects you can get are amazing! I dont know why it isnt a huge "thing". In fact you should reach out to some makeup companies you like to do a contour collab...I think it could be as huge as the brow thing(s). Oh and I appreciate your no nonsense attitude and it would be weird if anyone just smiled for the sake of it!

My advice for anyone with thin lips like me:
I don’t like contour my lips, I don’t like wear a lot of lipstick so this is what I do:
I use the yves saint laurent lipstick rouge pur couture 01 (I think) and yes it’s a red shade but I apply the lipstick on the inside of my lips and with my finger I try to blend it. I use too little of that lipstick and I love the color cause it’s ike a pink, looks natural and makes my lips look juicy and not so thin
