I was luck enough to ride on the bus with the Allman Brothers Band for 10 days back in the mid-1980's out of Nashville. A dear friend of mine, Billy Ray Reynolds was good friends with Dicky and Greg and invited me along. There were 3 big shows, the last one was The Ohio River Festival. This was during the Enlightened Rouges Tour with Bonnie Bramlett singing back up, Dave Goldflies on Bass and dangerous Dan Toler on guitar with Dicky. In fact, we were on Elvis's old bus named TCB and had a blowout somewhere in Ohio! This was an experience I will never forget...
Dude, I just watched this video. Loved the bus tour, walking up on stage, watching the band playing down in the crowd. I liked your swinging back and forth to Tripp on drums. I was digging your guitar solo, to bad it got cut off by Gopro. Great video, Tim 🤘🏻
The music sounds better each week. I can't wait to see you all live. The whole band sounds great. The bass player is stepping it up . I am watching a band full of really good musicians who like to jam for the audience. As you know there are endless possibilities with music. There is a lifetime worth of having fun and jamming the way you guys play.
Loving them! Brian you’re the man! Get a lot of comments and questions about them. Belle is awesome as my basic crunch tone, then combines with the tumnus or full drive is awesome for different types of solos. They’ve been on the board since u got them!
Thanks for showing us the tour bus & concert footage…enjoying the “ Tim Aven” videography as you say. A tour bus is definitely a great bonding experience for bands, but I can see that after a long tour, you need your space.
Great video. Something that is really cool is that you’re showing folks, especially the younger guys, that you can play and sound great without having to buy Custom Shop guitars. I love you’re playing the SE and showing how good it is. So many guys I talk to think they have to have a $3-4K guitar to sound good and advance in the business. I have a lot of guitars but I use my MIM Fenders and my Inspired By Gibson Les Paul and Firebird most of the time. Keep these videos coming for us local musicians just playing the weekend gigs. I wish you continued success and happy trails!
Thanks man! That silver sky SE is a killer guitar and I play it just as much as the core DGT. You’re right you don’t need a crazy expensive instrument to get a good sound. Thank for watching and commenting!
You are just making memories and reminding me of mine...on the big bus outta Nash! I was so hoping you were going to be at Kroger in Herm, but I didn't recognize the hedges. lol. :) Enjoy every moment because waaaaay down the line, you'll be looking back at your career like me! The best news is that your gen's have these magical video cameras in your pocket to document everything and store it on YT! You are killin' it! Most of all HAVE FUN!!!! Whooo hoooo! Bus surfin' USA! (We had a no poop rule)
Original I'm not far from Port Huron. Closer to Detroit however. Been to Port Huron many times and crossed the bridge into Canada to go to London Ontario when I played in a band. Now I live in Huntsville Alabama, for decades. Love your videos. All of them!
Idea: Talk about the economics of touring like that. What is the bus costing to rent? What was the cost of fuel? The business side of "show business" is usually more interesting than the "show" side. There's another channel, I think it's called "Tank the Tech", he talked about this, must have been last year (specifically about tour bus costs), it was pretty interesting. An interview with your tour manager would be cool, what are the biggest challenges of touring in 2024? How has touring changed since they first started tour managing? Etc.
I wish I would have known that you were going to be in Port Huron,Mi. I live 10 miles south of Port Huron in St. Clair,Mi. I would have come out and seen ya jam. Great video as always.
Enjoy your videos!! I got a Belle, my first Wampler and I live 10 miles from Brian, I also have one of the original Full-Drive 2’s, they do sound good together
I really enjoyed this video Thank you Tim. I hear so many negative stories about GoPro and have had bad luck myself. I hope you find a solution your happy with
I, too, sleep in the bottom rear passenger bunk lol. I play bass and TM for Wyatt Flores. If we share a festival bill sometime soon I'll try to come say hey!
Hey Tim, good stuff as always. problem with the GoPro is that the batteries run out very quickly. That's probably what's happening. You should be able to connect an external battery to it (larger capacity) that can run for a few hours. That way you can set it and forget it. Don't give up on the GoPro just yet ;)
Fascinating once again; really enjoy the logistical rundown and the little bit of show footage. Curious about set lists; does it vary much or is it pretty consistent?
@@TimAvenMusic dang! That’s incredible! My oldest son had curly hair like that when he was little, I bet if he grew it long, it would look like that! And we are watching more of your videos tonight, we are obsesssed! Lol
Cool stuff..that's a really wide lens ya got there. Is that like a 14mm? Might wanna tighten up on that...I'm still enjoying your content bro...Happy trails.
The fact that you're willing to pitch in and do whatever needs to be done says a lot for your worth ethic!
Great video Tim. Always fun to watch!

you are showing a good angle to see how you like your guitar's action
I was totally thinking, "Wonder what light he is using." Looks great.
I’m not sure but I love how it’s working out!
This is gonna be the best tour bus this town has ever seen.
Sounds and looks great!!

I think this is a great video idea!
Guitar, Golf, and Gigging. It doesn’t get much better.
I agree!!
I wish I would have known that you were going to be in Port Huron,Mi. I live 10 miles south of Port Huron in St. Clair,Mi. I would have come out and seen ya jam. Great video as always.
I’m watching this on my Apple Watch at the gym working out. Keep it Volgging
Haha hell yeah
ya, this is way better than a "busk" gig
as always, another killer video! that amp was kickin too, need to get a second one out there haha
Thank you! I freaking love that thing!
This is pretty cool of you to take the time to film this while your working. Nice job.
Thanks Gary, it’s more work but I love doing it!
I love Suhr!!!! Not even a guitar player and I want to own that cab... Ian Thornley reps them well also!!!!!
They’re awesome cabs!!
Great video as always
Thanks again!
That really looks like a good trip!
It was a lot of fun!

I love combining them. That’s the sound for most of my solos!

Strumbrellas, Canadian rock band from Ontario... real good
They were great!
Thanks for the tour of the bus. I am totally fascinated by tour buses. Question: do you/the band bring a backup amp...just in case of a failure?
You’re welcome, thanks for watching! Yes there was a backline amp there for a backup!
Welcome back!
Thank you!

Fascinating once again; really enjoy the logistical rundown and the little bit of show footage. Curious about set lists; does it vary much or is it pretty consistent?
It can vary! We tend to play between a 60 to 90 mins set
No #2 on the bus. 😁
The number one rule!
Did you guys try to write new material while on the bus? Thx for letting us tag along!!!!
Not this time but next time! Thank you!
light is great
Great!!
How can my band get festival gigs like this?
So, is that tour natural hair or a perm? I just have to know! It looks so good!
This is my natural hair!
@@TimAvenMusic dang! That’s incredible! My oldest son had curly hair like that when he was little, I bet if he grew it long, it would look like that! And we are watching more of your videos tonight, we are obsesssed! Lol
26:25 - what song is this?
That was our song called Troublemaker and this was in the live jam section!
Leland Sklar films all his venues too.Check him if you haven't already. Thanx for the tour.
I will check him out! Thanks for watching!
shitting in porta potties is the part of playing festivals not enough musicians are talking about lol
Just part of the job! (I deff did that this trip lol)
Do you/the band make money on a gig like this? The expenses and overhead seems pretty high for a 2-3 hour show..
I cannot believe you still use a Fulldrive. Great pedal ,but it takes up too much space. Go with a Moxie, or any Lovepedal COT.
It’s too good, love that thing
How much was the Bus rental?
A lot!
I thought it said "busk" gig lol .i guess you are beyond that though lol
Cool stuff..that's a really wide lens ya got there. Is that like a 14mm? Might wanna tighten up on that...I'm still enjoying your content bro...Happy trails.
I need to check it out, thank you!
Who is the snorer?
Jared 😂
Do you ever see really good bands and wonder why they aren't BIG and famous..... Do you know the secret formula to become big and famous
Do I send my address for the guitar I won? ; ) yes the lighting is definitely better looking.
😂😂
