The Chubby Sodas that Came with the Canadian Lunchables back in the day. When i saw them being sold on there own. i spent 50 cents on a bottle of Nostalgia and they still have that taste of eating straight up Kool aid powder that i remembered as a Kid. Lunchables got pulled from Canada for a long time and they recently came back and the only thing that has changed is they don't come in a box it's just the Tray and Label is the plastic top on the tray.
It's the best! And even though, obviously they're inanimate, but the puppeteers, as well as craftspeople give them so much personality, I don't see them as anything other than living characters that have believable interactions with Hunter, 10/10, unparalleled on TH-cam imo
Sucralose is fine in moderation, I use it as a substitute to sugar since I can't have sugar, If you just use 5 times less of it its almost exactly the same sweetness. I dont know why they didn't just do that, lots of other sugar free sodas and drinks use sucralose and its fine

As a child I begged for Lunchables. I don’t remember them being good back then but the ads kept having my ask my parents buy more. I can only imagine how much worse it’s gotten since the mid to late 90’s
I grew up poor (80s and 90s) so when I'd see Lunchables ads and kids had them, I was a little envious since I never got them. Tried them as an adult and thought they were okay.
Back in the day, the kids who had pizza lunchables were mocked since the school lunch's pizza was actually pretty decent, and thus leagues better than Lunchables.
In the 90's I only got lunchables as a treat for like field trips. Likely because I was a kid, but they looked way more appetizing back then than they do now. But it wouldn't surprise me if the quality just went down with time, as well.

This was the main argument from doctors/dietitians. Low calorie products for kids make no sense, but 390 calories for an entire meal seems comically low
Honestly, growing up? I'd usually eat about 800-900 cals from breakfast alone, and dinner would be about 700-800. So about 1500 to 1700 in two meals alone. So a meal that's only running around 200-300 actually rounds out the basic needs for a healthy human in a day. THAT SAID, as you grow macronutrients such as protein, carbs, and fats are less important. What you need are the micros more. Calcium, omega 3s, iron, etc. Getting the macros you need is easy, and your body knows that. So if you're taking supplements properly as you grow, your macro intake will actually decrease. Enriched foods, which Lunchables used to be heavily enriched, and multivitamins tend to satiate your hunger a lot faster than some processed carbs, cheese, and meat. Just make absolutely sure you have food with those multivitamins or your body will wonder what in the F it's supposed to do with that pill or flintstones vitamin. THAT ALL SAID, I am not a doctor, I am not a dietician, nor a nutritionist. Neither can I tell you how to raise your family, but good home cooked sit down meals will always be better than anything pre made and packed.
Does it taste like sugar to you? I think I’m abnormal in the way artificial sweeteners taste to me. I guess the best comparison is cough syrup and cherries, like I could take a swig of cough syrup and at least make out that it’s supposed to taste like cherries but it’s still disgusting and way off. So I can’t eat or drink anything with any artificial sugar just tastes too bad. And they’re really devious about it, a lot of products will present themselves as regular full sugar but actually be sweetened with both sugar and artificial sweeteners to reduce the calories slightly and I can’t eat or drink that shit either

The lower calorie count on what is supposed to be a lunch always cracks me up. Children need around 1400-1600 calories a day. Getting so little of their caloric intake during lunch would cause fatigue. At least, if we were pumping their blood fuel of sugar and sugar substitues. These things live in a weird limbo period of being nutritional unbalanced as a snack but too calorically light to be a meal.

With the calories thing, you want more calories for children who are growing. Lunchables are severely under the recommended caloric intake for a kid, so having lower cals isn't a benefit
With so many obese children I don't think that's a problem anymore.

As a child I begged for Lunchables. I don’t remember them being good back then but the ads kept having my ask my parents buy more. I can only imagine how much worse it’s gotten since the mid to late 90’s

I grew up poor (80s and 90s) so when I'd see Lunchables ads and kids had them, I was a little envious since I never got them. Tried them as an adult and thought they were okay.
Back in the day, the kids who had pizza lunchables were mocked since the school lunch's pizza was actually pretty decent, and thus leagues better than Lunchables.
In the 90's I only got lunchables as a treat for like field trips. Likely because I was a kid, but they looked way more appetizing back then than they do now. But it wouldn't surprise me if the quality just went down with time, as well.

This was the main argument from doctors/dietitians. Low calorie products for kids make no sense, but 390 calories for an entire meal seems comically low
Honestly, growing up? I'd usually eat about 800-900 cals from breakfast alone, and dinner would be about 700-800. So about 1500 to 1700 in two meals alone. So a meal that's only running around 200-300 actually rounds out the basic needs for a healthy human in a day. THAT SAID, as you grow macronutrients such as protein, carbs, and fats are less important. What you need are the micros more. Calcium, omega 3s, iron, etc. Getting the macros you need is easy, and your body knows that. So if you're taking supplements properly as you grow, your macro intake will actually decrease. Enriched foods, which Lunchables used to be heavily enriched, and multivitamins tend to satiate your hunger a lot faster than some processed carbs, cheese, and meat. Just make absolutely sure you have food with those multivitamins or your body will wonder what in the F it's supposed to do with that pill or flintstones vitamin. THAT ALL SAID, I am not a doctor, I am not a dietician, nor a nutritionist. Neither can I tell you how to raise your family, but good home cooked sit down meals will always be better than anything pre made and packed.

Does it taste like sugar to you? I think I’m abnormal in the way artificial sweeteners taste to me. I guess the best comparison is cough syrup and cherries, like I could take a swig of cough syrup and at least make out that it’s supposed to taste like cherries but it’s still disgusting and way off. So I can’t eat or drink anything with any artificial sugar just tastes too bad. And they’re really devious about it, a lot of products will present themselves as regular full sugar but actually be sweetened with both sugar and artificial sweeteners to reduce the calories slightly and I can’t eat or drink that shit either

I'm a caregiver for my aunt and my dad and it is so mentally exhausting. I recently started and within a short time, someone told me that I'm not like myself anymore. I'm always trying to understand what happens to us mentally when we are literally watching our loved ones slip away on a daily basis. People who aren't around it can't begin to understand what it's like. I have turned inward and want to be alone all the time. I used to be very outgoing.

The lower calorie count on what is supposed to be a lunch always cracks me up. Children need around 1400-1600 calories a day. Getting so little of their caloric intake during lunch would cause fatigue. At least, if we were pumping their blood fuel of sugar and sugar substitues. These things live in a weird limbo period of being nutritional unbalanced as a snack but too calorically light to be a meal.
