So cool to have Todd as your guest 🎉 We all got to hang out in Raleigh and I promise next time we’ll talk more secrets of fishing 😂 I have followed Todd since we first met at the Raleigh Expo in 2019’ and you know I think you’re both awesome and authentic 🍀🎣🍀😜👍👏👏👏👏👏
Hey Hank and Todd great stuff. The only thing I noticed when you use two O-rings, that would be for a wacky worm. The single ring would be for the melon rig. The only thing he didn’t show when rigging the.Neko rig is to have the hook point face to tail because when a fish comes down on it, you’ll hook him in the roof of the mouth. If you rig it like a wacky worm that hook will bite him in the side of his face.
I commented earlier that this was a great video with excellent tips. Failed to mention that I've been altering the speed craw similarly but use a small paper hole punch. Saw some pro years ago do it that way. Another pro used a .22 empty cartridge to modify it. Thanks for a great channel.
That was awesome. I like the way you guys break everything down and I think there should be more pros that will help the ones that don’t know how to do these things. Me and my kids enjoy fishing as a family and this will help us. Thank you for all you do !!! 😊
Great video! I’ve been killin’ em this summer on a neko rigged senko fished on deep structure. I found making a pilot hole on the nose of the worm with a tiny screwdriver makes it easier to insert the nail weight straight. Looking forward to neko rigging a creature bait next winter!
I leave the nail weight sticking out just enough for it to make clicking sounds on rocks. You can also feel timber easier with the weight poking out just a little.
Great video. Thank you. I'm a Kpt man and I'll say that is a great lake. I'll say that I have nail weights but I don't use them. I find screws work good enough for me
Just watched a video of Nordbye’s on this in one of Livescope videos. Was having trouble shaking a minnow and switched to a neko and started getting bit instantly. Came here for some education 🍿🍻
That’s a way cool set-up on the craw. Definitely need to rig some of these up for my Yak tournaments. I usually use regular craws weightless for the slow fall and add small split shot sinker for little quicker fall when fishing cover and creeks. Thanks for the great video !
@@BassGeek . Thanks bud, ya I use either a 4/O - 5/O Gamakatsu EWG, depending on current and if the craws have a salt mixture to keep the craw a natural level side/side and hook weight to keep it at about a 15 degree angle fall. Again the split shot to control the fall rate for a lot of creeks and lakes here in Tenn.
What a great tip,and I love the Zoom speed craw, and I just need some of the mushroom nail weights 😜🍀🎣🍀 Happy Spring Hank, I love using red in my plastics when it’s 😎 sunny, but I switch on overcast or drizzling days🤷🏻♂️
Neko is becoming my goto bank angling technique. My lakes are deep and got that emerald water. Highland reservoirs are some of the toughest lakes in the country because our bass suspend most of the years.
@BassGeek I bounce around on Philpott lake and Smith Mountain lake in Virginia . I cut my teeth on boat fishing, but find it difficult and too expensive to keep bass boats maintenanced. I do have boats but no motors.
I like the new technique ideas, something I do want to work on. I love my finesse fishing but all these new rigs it's so hard to remember. But thank you for the content
Don’t let it overwhelm you Just think about the ones that apply to the water you fish and when you get on some fish with the old tried and true pick up that new rig and put it to the test.
The Neko rig works on those spawning smallmouth up there on Holston, Caught some on it this past week... I prefer the mushroom head weight and a #1 Neko hook... Keep the videos coming... #100watchsquad
@BassGeek true story: A few buddies out fishing, and my one buddy asks, "Is everyone done fishing now?". Everyone says, yeah. So he then takes the worm container and dumps it over the side and says "I'm gonna set these worms free then". Everyone was like, what?? One replies "Dude, worms don't live in the water!" He just sat there in the boat with blank look on his face. 😅 Yup... it happened.
@BassGeek hey Hank I'm almost 60 yrs old and immediately I could tell by the way he was giving you all this awesome information. Good job Hank tell your friend I new he was experienced right away I'm very observant Hank . Have a great day and God bless you and your family. Ps it's always a pleasure listening to you Hank .
Todd, here in ohio I throw a speed craw every outing (sometimes too much, but it's deadly. Thanks for this tip, I needed a new idea!! Hank Panky, thanks for having a pro on the channel haha "Hanky Panky"😂
#100percentwatchsquad Really informative video. I'm always looking for new ways to rig a wacky or a neko. Tons of swamp craws on the lakes I fish so this will come in handy for sure!
Todd's a natural in front the camera! Great tips.
I’m no where near as good as the geek, but I will get better. 😂
He did great

Thank you. We do a LOT of video's like this but just with my ugly mug in them. I hope to start adding some pro's to stop in here and there.
The timing of this video was great since I’m going tomorrow and have a neko rig set on one of my rods
Perfect! I love it when we hit it just on time

I've got another neko\wacky rig trick video for summer bass coming in a few weeks.

Good video, never thought about cutting the claws a bit for more action.
Oh yeah.
Excellent seminar , I started Necko rigging a Do-it molds craw 5 years ago on a Canada trip, bine doing it in the Pa rivers .
Heck yeah
Great video Todd's insights are super useful. Can't wait to put them in action. Blessings
Good deal I hope you catch'em.

Awesome video Hank. Total hammer 🔨 and some amazing tips
We about to go hammer on some for sure
I love it when they talk about worms and say "keeps it looking natural". I've never seen a worm in a lake just going out for a swim. 🤔
But I have seen leeches. I think that’s what most worm represent.

Thank you sir for helping improve this channel
what size neko hook is he using?
It is a small one I want to say 1/0 maybe smaller.
What’s size Owner hook was that ?
I think it was a 1/0 or 2/0
@@BassGeek thanks BassGeek
what size hook did he say he uses?
I think it was a 1/0 but I'd have to go back and watch again myself lol
@@BassGeek great video, Im going order the soft plastics and hooks in your list of items used, was just curious. it looked pretty big.
Do not throw the zoom UV speed craw it does not catch anything 😏🤣 I'm jk I thought I was the biggest fan with over 2,000 bags!
Tricks.
You know we are both out in the sun a lot how do you protect yourself from the sun
To be honest I don't. Be very carful as to the sunscreen you use because some are worse than the sun.
Sup
Nothing

Can I just ask, what's with all the cheeks in the comments?
Porn bots. I have been reporting them to youtube that's all I can do.
If my wife pays me $5.00 to go fishing does that not make me a pro.........
And qualify for a pro series. Like MLF Invitationals or Elites, or MLF Cup.
