Polo 6R - Repairing broken headlight mounts

- My friend’s Polo Trendline 1.2 MPI had broken top and bottom mounts for the co-driver side headlight. We ordered the replacement mounts from Boodmo.com, an online auto parts store. I’ve had a great experience ordering from them although there were a few cancellations owing to long delays. But overall, it has been a great experience.
The bottom mount is going to take some time as access is limited.
Part numbers:
1. Bottom mount - 6R0 941 511
2. Top mounts:
For left headlight - 6R0 998 225/6C0 998 225
For right headlight - 6R0 998 226/6C0 998 226

links / rechts aussen = left/right outside - So you use the one labelled "links" for the assembly on the left hand side of the car, and "rechts" for the right hand side

Removing RH side felt huge job
Why so? Did some part come in between?
@@GaneshBalan ya wipers washer reservoir so right angled ratchet doesn’t fit with that bit so I removed half bumper and removed that screws with Allen key

hi, the video is very useful, but is it the same procedure for those on the passenger side?
Hi, I did this video on the passenger side of the RHD Polo sold in India. If you have a LHD Polo (e.g. sold in Germany), you will have to remove the windshield washer tank after removing the tire and fender liner.
@@GaneshBalan is there no way to do this without disassembling all the components 😅?
@matrad318 haha unfortunately no. But it’s easy once you jack up the wheel and remove the fender lining. Just a few torx screws that hold the fender lining.

Alag se wiring kar lo, battery se direct +12V connection leke aur ek 15A ke fuse lagake.
Cabin ke andhar ek switch rakho, ground connection engine bay mein ek body mein bolt mein de do.
Headlight connections se alag rakho.

Hello sir, I want to replace windshield washer fluid hose pipe on my 2010 Vento, I have been through your post on teambhp and I have placed an order on boodmo for hose pipes from Toyota but it seems like they are having some difficulty in arranging the part as it is getting delayed, is there any alternative way for this or can I source the hose pipe from Toyota ASC?

Hi Kartik, use the tubing from Maruti. Works equally well. 👍🏻 and cheaper too. Do check Boodmo for the pricing and get it from the local MGP dealer.

This is the only bottom mount which is accessible without removing the bumper

Could you share the link for the repair kit for the newer dual barrel headlights on the Polo (2022 make)?
Hi Haridev, have mentioned the links from boodmo in the description for both the top and bottom mounts. Check it out.
PS: It is the same for single barrel or dual barrel headlights.

What about right side headlight bottom mount? Wrench doesnt go inside because of windshields washer reservoir

Ciao Roberto, prima hai sostituito la pompa del liquido di raffreddamento? Come forse saprai, questa è una pompa del liquido di raffreddamento azionata dal motore. Per favore, fallo sostituire se non lo hai fatto. La prossima cosa è controllare eventuali perdite nel sistema nei tubi di gomma, una crepa nel radiatore ecc.

Hi Manjuraja, the lens is not sold separately as a child part unfortunately. You’ll have to buy the whole assembly. Did your headlamp lens crack or fade?
It has a crack on the right side
You’ll have to get a unit from a scrap car and change it man.

Top clip mount repair kit is showing around 2000 for just 2 clip...its too expensive or what
Yeah man it is. :( Unfortunately the repair kit is imported. Irony is pay some 1200 more and you get a brand new OE headlight (single barrel type).
Top mound cost only Rs.2570😂😂
Yep expensive for a pair since it is imported. They should have locally manufactured this part. It’s been over 13 years since VW is here.
