I would say 11/12 and 22/23 were poor. So he probably signed one year too early, and left one too late.
You can argue 15/16 wasn't great but that's largely down to injuries. Majority of his seasons were good. I don't disagree we've had better players, but this idea that you'd last 12 years at Liverpool and be a bad player is obviously ludicrous.
Id say 4 good, 4 ok and 2 bad

He’s been a great cog in the machine without standing out. It’s genuinely a shame he’s dented his legacy a bit with the move.
Spot on. I remember the 13/14 season where we just fell short. Many blamed the Gerrard slip but it was the 3 game suspension that Jordan had that was a much bigger factor. We missed his legs and drive noticeably. That's not a dig at all but full credit to what he brought to the team. YNWA!

Never did I think 12 years ago just before my birthday that this fella would captain us to every trophy winnable. Massive respect for Hendo and glad he can get some money in his twilight years to make sure his descendants will be secure for life. Very underrated player. Our skipper gave his best throughout his career; he was not at his best in his last 2 seasons but he always gave his best and you can hear how the other players talk about him to know how important he was! He deserves a great farewell. Good luck Hendo! YNWA from Morocco.

Henderson's ability to strike a shot, especially volleys, always reminded me of Ronnie Whelan. Whelan score more goals, but both had great ability when presented with a chance.

Henderson was outstanding, massive ability and the grit determination to get the ball in the net is something you would come across him. For the past 12 years, he has been putting the shift and tireless leadership in the team. He has the passion, enthusiasm and sharpness when it comes to offer to the Liverpool squad. He will surely be missed for his work rate and leadership skills in the Liverpool squad. I will always remember that goal he scored a curler against Manchester City with such a finess and ease. That red card and the absence of him in the 2013-14 season cost us the league. Also you always knew who would be in the opponents face backing the team up al the time. A true born leader, fighter.
