In game 2 - the problem with your opponent pushing his D&E pawns is that his position can quickly become overextended and they can become easy targets! Er….uh….the advantage is if they keep advancing (unchecked) they end up right in your “grille” and they constrain the ever-loving hell out of your pieces. ☹️
Enjoy your trip to Scotland! 🙂

I call my Bishops Duncan (dark squares) and Lawrence for the light squares.

28:56 The fish says its d4 but it's really close and it all gets a bit sharp, you're moving your King and shit. So, I think for mortal humans, it's Nf3. It's what I always play.

23:30 surely Bg7 presents you with some problems, but I guess you both missed that one.

It is quite humorous that Ben says “he has got the slightly safer King” when his opponent has mate in one. Couldn’t help a chuckle at that one.

You HAVE forgotten some moves in the Vienna. At 29:55 you had Nxc7+, and if Qxc7 you had exd6+ winning the queen.

Welcome back to the Vienna clan. 😊 You seem to forget to ask yourself: what’s changed? Something you’ve preached a lot!

10:38 again i think u play just a bit fast. U need consider more moves before u move. You can probably take the e4 pawn here, but need create a plan and see what works after Qh5 with threat on f7, because thats obviously in the air. The reasoning behind suggesting taking the e pawn is that this pawn can become pesky later.. and Qh5 threath seems not dangerous to me as your g6 square seem very well covered. You can play g6 or put knight there later.
A very generaly important point at remember to play Qe7 before you move the knight. Since you played what seems to me the best move Bc5 already, when your f6 knight gets attacked by a e5 pawn. Qe7 pin is a good move. they will play Qe2 and their light square bishop is blocked..
I suggest you learn the mieses variation of scotch game. How Kaparov played it. That variation white exhanges knights on c6 and then plays e5 after to attack the knight. Now BEFORE black plays knight d5 and moves that knight to the queen side, black should play Queen e7 and pin the pawn EVEN if that blocks in their own bishop on g8, bacause whites best move is to play the same Qe2 move to renew the threath on the knight, blocking in also their own bishop. This is important for black because otherwise the white light square bishop come early out and white gets a stronger initiative.
And at 14:15 you also here stop caculate one step early, i think you can just take the e pawn. Nf6+ does NOT work for the as gxf6 defends the queen and you win the knight.
The last game was impressive. The last mate in 4 there was really nice spotting.

The point of b6 wasn’t to take away the square from the queen because the bishop already controlled that square. I dnt think I can take much more of this. Hopefully I’ll come across u again in the future if u ever reach like 2000 or something when I know you’ve taken it more serious. It’s not u it’s me

2:16 you are not calculating enough before some of the moves. Or perhaps not calculating the right variations or the oponents best/potential moves. Already here Ng4 should be en the radar because its a typical move when 2 knights are out for black and u have the queen out u need pay extra attention on your queen.
3:33 Already here, its better if you start planning how to trap the knight right?! Because its a big difference on loosing a whole rook or loosing an exchange. So for that reason a5 seems wrong. You want that pawn back on a7 to control the b6 square. The knight wants to get out on 2 darks squares. And if you could already now move the knight, you attack his knight. This is ofc. not just to attack his knight, but to control his runaway square. But ocf you cant move the knight due to the potential pin on your king and queen. You could also move the a rook, forcing him to take the rook near the king.. but i dont know if that is better. When you move the a pawn, they has Be6. Not only does that attack the queen, but its a resource for get the knight out or at least get a pawn for it on b6. I would consider Rb8 there. You just played a bit to fast, if you slow down a bit and use a bit more time BEFORE your move you would have seen this ideas.
