    Another small complaint.
    For a large coffee, you can't grind enough coffee automatically as it will over-fill the hopper.
    So you have to grind part, tamp it down and manually grind more. Not a big deal.
    The pre-set frothing of the milk I've found, means that the temperature can't be set higher than 75 degrees. I believe this is to make sure you don't loose the froth when the temperature reaches near boiling point. You can increase the froth by just starting it again manually and stopping it again before it gets too hot.

    I got a question: I manually adjusted the grinder to 13 with the outer dial, also showing that number on the touchscreen panel. The thing is, when I turn the machine off and then turn it on later on, the touchscreen signals the grinder is at 14. Does it do that automatically or is it some kind of mistake? As I reckon the grinder adjustment is only manual with the outer dial?

    • @aaaaplay
      @aaaaplay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Like with most coffee machines, it kind or relies on you experimenting. The setting will depending on the beans you have. The Barista Touch has a built in tutorial to help with grind settings. It suggests you should aim for the coffee to begin dripping between 8-15 seconds, if it takes longer then make the setting courser, if takes less try making it finer. Aim for as fine as you can go within that 8-15 second window.

    • @maxb5947
      @maxb5947 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    We bought one of these recently. Very impressed with the performance.
    But I've one major criticism. The size of the bean hopper.
    If it's completely empty it will just about take a 227grm packet of beans, but you have to smooth them down to clear the central locking tool or the lid won't go on. It's easy for beans to spill over the lip.
    It would have been better to have a slightly bigger capacity, so you wouldn't have to fill it half way through grinding coffee.

    I just got the Barista touch but I can't get it to work properly. I ruined a whole bag of beans already. I want to make a latte. What is the grind setting you use, there are 30 of them and how many seconds for a double shot for latte? I saw in your video grind level was 4 and you put if for 15 seconds? Is it a double shot espresso? What cup did you use in your porterfilter?

    I saw so many newbie mistakes in the first 2 minutes I had to stop watching. Didn’t heat the portafilter or run water through it and clean the filter before grinding the next shot, left stray grinds on the rim before locking in the portafilter, you never tamp mid air. Smh

    Hi, we have Breville Barrista touch 880 model. It works perfectly except for the the top quarter of the LCD touch screen, which is unresponsive. We tried to do a factory reset but the button is on the top right corner and now we are stuck .Does anyone please have any solution we can try?
    So far we unplugged and left for a long time, we disconnected and reconnected the lcd screen but no luck. If you have advice on this we will appreciate it. We love our Breville and use it daily! We look forward to use it and it’s our way to bless people!
