Hi, I love your videos💕 I used the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen hoping it would be really good for my skin because the sunscreens I used prior either made my oily skin look very greasy or it burned my eyes. But the BOJ one broke me out - i stopped using it and I didn't get any more pimples. Now I use the Cetaphil matte sunscreen but it definitely isn't matte.
I have a mix of dry and oily skin and tried the beauty of joseon sunscreen for about 1 year. I was so hyped about it because a lot of influencers suggested this sunscreen to my skin type. But all i can say is this: 1) it always turned my skin flaky even if i only put it on to 1 or 2 layers of other skin care products even with letting those getting absorbed in between 2) it clogged my pores and made me break out terribly! It took me a long time to figure out to cause my break out so herr is a shout-out to everyone who does not understand what is happening 3) my skin was not glowing like a 'healthy' glowing, it actually make me look like a sweating piggy. My coworkers and family members frequently asked me whether i felt good because i looked sweat-drained 4) there were some little parts or spots on my face where when i put the sunscreen on i felz a little itchy feeling or even burn. This made me very cautious. Please be careful and do not trust everything 'popular' on the internet...

If you’re not acne prone you can try the biossance one? It is pricier but that one is the best physical one I’ve found so far that works for darker skin tones. You do have to put in the work to spread it out though. I talk about in my guide from last year!
If you have seriously oily skin like me, you need to get Murad matte sunscreen! It's a clear gel that makes your skin look totally matte, and lasts for at least 12 hours with no oily breakthrough. It has no tint, no white cast, and no shine. Murad matte sunscreen changed the game for me. Finally I can just put on my sunscreen and makeup and then forget about my skin for the whole day. ❤
I’ve been using Elta MD for a while now and I do love it but I want to add some PA+ style sunscreens. Can I mix both my Elta MD with the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen?
it is advised not to mix sunscreen. Sunscreens that are safe and effective on their own might not work as well when mixed together. In certain combinations, new research suggests they might even create toxic byproducts.
Depends on the sunscreen, how much it wiped off due to touching, sweating, activity.. If you are a very light skin type or are generally concerned about UV-light exposure, applying it every two hours can't be a mistake. I personally make sure to apply the proper amount in the beginning and then decide day to day how often I have to really. No medical advice here, just experience :)

i tried the clear paulas choice, the fluid is super leightweight, but when it accidently comes in the eyes, it burns horribly. i liked it, but makes the skin super senitive, it has avobenzone. It is up to youre prefference.

In my experience it does sting quite a bit, especially around the eyes. So maybe not for sensitive skin. It does look nice on the skin though (no whitecast, skin doesn’t look greasy)

As for the breakouts and dryness… it’s really hard to say and I’m not a dermatologist but do you think you might be overdoing any of the stronger actives? Hope that helps ☺️
That sucks to hear! But it’s great you identified it’s the BoJ causing you to breakout. I’d take a look at the ingredient list. If other products also cause breakouts, see if there’s any patterns or overlap in the ingredients🕵️♀️

Physical sunscreen don’t cause me acne but it's not as comfortable to wear as chemical sunscreen. I think I will give the BoJ sunscreen another try today. Because it feels so good and everyone giving positive review. I Will double cleanse my face more properly and will see if It's cause me more acne or not. If It's still causes acne then I will stay away from chemical sunscreens forever! And if doesn’t cause more acne, I will blame Myself for not doing double cleanse properly. @@CathyonSkincare I have applied the BoJ sunscreen yesterday morning and double cleanse at evening. I massage the banila co cleansing balm on my face for about 7 minutes. After I washed my face, few areas of my skin was looking red. So,After cleansing with Cerave foaming cleanser I have applied my leftover green tea on my face like a sheet mask using tissue paper.(I do it once everyday and it makes the redness go away and my face looks bright!) After I wash my face with water and have applied The ordinary salicylic acid masque only on my current active pimple ( applied like dots). After I washed it with water I have applied Cosrx snail 96 essence. After that applied BoJ revive serum and belief aqua bomb moisturizer. Today morning I just washed my face with water and my face was feeling burnt. I wasn’t even being able to touch my cheeks. It became red and irritated. Did this happened because massaging the cleansing balm for too long?( in the past my face used to become slightly irritated massaging the cleansing balm for long but never it felt so bad) Or because chemical sunscreen doesn’t suit my skin? Only good thing is that I didn’t get any new pimple.🙂 So I applied the sunscreen again today. I want a good cleansing balm suggestion for my oily acne prone skin. BOJ sunscreen is way to heavy for Oily skin in India. Trust me, if you have super oily skin then BOJ isn't for you.

I prefer the thank you farmer rice toner. I haven’t tried the one from peach slices yet but I really love the cosrx snail mucin power essence!

Nice video but you are totally underapplying your sunscreens. Most sunscreen will give you a non greesy/oily finish if you apply such a small amount.

@@CathyonSkincare As I told you I have applied the sunscreen today and I double cleanse my face at night. This time I massaged my face for 3-4 minutes gently but still my face was red. And I also got 3 new pimples on my face at the end of the day. So, I understood that the BoJ sunscreen doesn’t suit my skin😞😞😞.

Why no one talking about sunscreen stains on the clothes ? I’m trying to find a body sunscreen which don’t leave yellow/ orange stains. Nothing helps to get rid of them, I have ruined a lot of my clothes because of this. I can’t afford trying a lot of sunscreens so I could find a perfect one😥

it has a bit of clogging but as long u double cleanse its ok maybe not for u if u have oily skin and anybody at any age can use sunscreen

I have a serious Question for all of u that What Do I use during the nights when I'm not using my retinol ....I m a beginner & I'm using La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser + Kiehl's Retinol Micro dose Serum + Cerave Moisturizer In Night.
In Morning I use Cleanser + Paula's Choice Vitamic C + Isntree hyaluronic Acid water gel sunscreen.
How's instree hyaluronic sunscreen working on ur face and what's ur skin type i actually wanted to buy it but idk if it would suit my combination skin and won't make me break out since i have bumps on forehead and pimples on upper checks , chin...🥺😣😬
