I want to learn how to fly fish, wow what a beautiful place you went to . I need to get out more exploring more fishing places, love it take care my friend
Ohhh nice! On the way to the rainbow fall hike I knew I saw some type of river dow there. Good to know and thanks for telling us your rig in the description i’m gonna buy the same and go there mid june as well. Your vids are helpful! tight lines
I camped up there a few years ago. Caught a bunch of fish. It was right after that big storm came through and downed a ton of trees. Free fire wood everywhere.
Beautiful area.....what was that first fish caught that you showed? Wild brown...? Interesting color on the side.... Some really clear water. Always love your posts!
Thanks Jon, I appreciate the kind words. I think the first fish was either a rainbow or a rainbow-golden hybrid. I caught a surprising number of browns as I wasn't expecting any way up there--the river overall was about 50/50 rainbows/browns.
Purple Drake thanks, I’m just getting into fly fishing and all I’ve got now is a 9’ 5 weight. I’d like to get a smaller weight rod for the smallish steams I fish along the 108 corridor.
@@hoss6048 5wt is overkill for so many trout fishing situations. Not sure why it is always recommended to beginners for their first fly rod. I would think a 3wt or 4wt would be better for most people starting out. Having both a 2wt and a 5wt will cover almost all trout fishing situations.
Thank you. Fished this some 30 years ago. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
I haven't fished that river in almost 20 years. Thanks for reminding us all of that little gem.
We fish a lot of the same spots. Always nice to see familiar waters show up on your channel

Thanks Adrian! Good luck on your trip. You should be timing it just right in mid June.
