18:10, “Perfect Strangers is a Miller-Boyett Production in association with Lorimar Television and is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.”-Mark Linn-Baker.
Michael Chiklis later became a cast member on the popular FX series The Shield (not the popular WWE faction of the same name featuring Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley in AEW now), Seth ‘Freakin’’ Rollins and Roman Reigns).
The man providing the VO for the voiceover promos at the end of Step by Step, Perfect Strangers and Baby Talk is the late Bill Rice, a staff announcer for ABC.
ABC's TGIF block began to die in 1997: stemming from a combination of aging sitcoms like Family Matters and Step by Step moving to CBS (who started - and ended - their own family-friendly Friday night sitcom line-up in 1997-98 called "The Block Party"), the oversaturation of supernatural/magic type shows (Sabrina the Teenage Witch and new series You Wish and Teen Angel, the latter of which both lasted only one season), the failure of Brother's Keeper and Two of a Kind (which was the last sitcom produced by the previously reliable Miller-Boyett group) starring the Olsen twins the following year (1998-99), and ultimately the ending of Boy Meets World after seven seasons and Sabrina... moving to The WB after the 1999-2000 season. ABC would bring back the TGIF brand for the 2003-05 or 2018-19 seasons, but it never met the same success it had before.
10:58, “Step by Step is a Miller-Boyett Production in association with Lorimar Television and is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.”-Patrick Duffy.
ABC's TGIF lineup for Friday September 27, 1991. 8pm - Family Matters (new episode: Brain over Brawn) 8:30pm - Step By Step (new episode: The Dance) 9pm - Perfect Strangers (new episode: The Wedding) 9:30pm - Baby Talk (new episode: Your Loss is My Gain) 10pm - 20/20
cool commercials from the year we was born it was 1991 worldwide all over the World the dates and events of 1991 were good things that changed it was 25 years ago forever alone love it our birth year of the early '90's the early 1990s.
I always thought Patrick Duffy and Suzanne Summers were playing there roles a little too much like they might had a thing going on??!😁 I mean come on there method acting as couple looks too much like you know they are really into it wow this is memories step by step was good show too on the TGIF line up! September of 1991 wow!
_Step by Step_ was always a somewhat racier offering on TGIF. Patrick Duffy would occasionally attempt to test the ABC censors by moaning passionately during the filming of a scene involving Frank and Carol as they're in bed. The censors would always flag that but he did it during every such scene.
5:38 "A Masterpiece!" "The best film of the year!" I've never even heard of it. They had a bad habit back in the early 90's of saying great things about not-sp-great movies and shows.
Never mention Nightline during a family night block on ABC, fellas! Bill Rice (east coast)/Roger Carroll/Gary Owens (west coast) should've said it all.
This was my childhood right here. ☺😃👍👍👍

@IsaacCline-ru7ls Thank you! I hope the same for you.
I just found out that Michael Chiklis was only 28 years old when The Commish premiered. People really did use to look older.

The man providing the VO for the voiceover promos at the end of Step by Step, Perfect Strangers and Baby Talk is the late Bill Rice, a staff announcer for ABC.
Here’s my own TGIF Schedule:
8:00pm: Full House
8:30pm: Family Matters
9:00pm: Step by Step
9:30pm: Dinosaurs
Hosts: Carol Lambert and Baby Sinclair
Dinosaurs was a good show but I would put just the 10 of us in that 9:30 slot.
I loved TGIF!!! Miss it much
Time to order some pizza and watch TGIF. That's what my family did back then.
TGIF was great when I was a kid especially on my birthday I would never forget
Thank you.
Ahh. The days when I would beg my folks to have dinner at my friend's cuz they had stove top . ha!

At that time, ABC viewers were seeing more and more network promos with Bill Ratner announcing!!!

ABC brought back TGIF again for the 2018-19 season, but, again, it would not capture the magic and the glory days of the 1989-2000 run.
I was fifteen and really not watching much tv. But I remember some of these commercials.
These aired a day after my 8th birthday
10:58, “Step by Step is a Miller-Boyett Production in association with Lorimar Television and is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.”-Patrick Duffy.
According to CLG Wiki, there was no voiceover.

23:14 the great Gary Owens.
I had a crush on the brunette on Step by Step.
Why was Barbara voicing the Nightline promos? Does she do Friday Nightline in the 90s?
My guess is Ted Koppel may have simply taken that particular night off.
4:19: Ford Escort
Never mention Nightline during a family night block on ABC, fellas! Bill Rice (east coast)/Roger Carroll/Gary Owens (west coast) should've said it all.
Wait I'm I wrong or did the guy in the Copeland Insurance commercial say the commercial was made in 1996. How's that possible?
No he said 1986.
1986
Was it just me, or does that JELL-O commercial look like a prototype version of the 1993 "JELL-O Puts the Wiggle in a Cup" commercial?
