Gods I miss T.V. just regular family fun T.V.! I was 13 during THESE shows and adds. I'm 36 now and haven't had T.V. in over 5 years! It was too much and too different. Sigh!
ABC's TGIF block died beginning in 1997, stemming from a combination of aging sitcoms like Family Matters and Step by Step moving to CBS (who started - and ended - their own family-friendly Friday night sitcom line-up in 1997-98 called "The Block Party"), the over-saturation of supernatural/magic type shows (Sabrina the Teenage Witch and new series You Wish and Teen Angel, the latter of which both lasted only one season), the failure of Two of a Kind in the 1998-99 season (which was the last sitcom produced by the previously reliable Miller-Boyett group) starring the Olsen twins the following year, and ultimately the ending of Boy Meets World after seven seasons and Sabrina... moving to The WB after the 1999-2000 season. ABC would bring back the TGIF brand for the 2003-05 & 2018-19 seasons, but it never met the same success it had before.
ABC's TGIF lineup for Friday January 13, 1995 8pm - Family Matters (repeat: Par For the Course) 8:30pm - Boy Meets World *(new episode: I Am Not a Crook)* 9pm - Step By Step (repeat: Spoiled Sport) 9:30pm - Hangin' With Mr. Cooper *(new episode: One Is the Loneliest Number)* 10pm - 20/20
It is wierd seeing these old adds for things we have since found to be dangerous or lies!! Or seeing actors that have grown up or passed on or gone to prison since then! Or products that are gone for ever, companies too.
Wow bronze dude has a scary story... His wife cheated with the milk man. He bronzed him, and probably his him for years, now he went crazy and killed his wife. He practiced taxidermy at first, the squirrel in college. Then his kid was born and he wanted his first boots as a keep sake. Bronzing was fashionable so he tried. He likes it. Then he tried his first squirrel, then a few others and sold them in the shop with others and customs. Then his dog died and of course it was easier to keep a per that way. Then as his son grew older he noticed the similarities between him and the milk man. His wife cheated, he could never hurt her but he wouldn't mind the milkman. He stabbed him, posed him, and bronzed him then hid him in a little brick wall in the basement. Years past and every one was happy and no one really noticed the missing milk man. Finally in old age after many happy years there were some very yummy snacks his wife got obsessed with. She was driving him crazy but he loved them too. Sometimes there were heated arguments since the two great bitter after a years of repent rage from the secret they both kept. One night he snapped and gave her the same as her lovers. They put in the will to bronze each other and he did so with pleasure. A few more years past and haunted by the ghosts of his burgers he finally snaps and decides to display his trophies for all to see. He doesn't care at all, he is proud of his work! As a last laugh he does his own little commercial for the town dominos for their snack that he helped him finally get revenge! Yummy tasty dipping revenge!! Also really want to watch troll in new york

25+ years later and things are just different!
Just missing the 90's... Ya know before the Covid started getting passed out like free lunch.
This was the stuff growing up. I loved TGIF!
Ah, back when things were simple.
Even the commericals were good.
