This was the first Jays game for me and my family, we traveled from Calgary and had a blast. the first homerun for the Astros was hit in front of where we were sitting, I can spot us in the video making it a great memory. Loved our visit and will be back sooner then later to take in another game.
Gausman had a terrible track record against the AL east for his career before coming to the Jays, Ray dominated his one year with the Jays winning a Cy Young. Understandable why people were concerned lol

It is just an absolute pleasure watching Gausman pitch every 5th day. It's sadly been an elevated feeling as he does it the day after Manoah's struggles. I hope a complete reset in the Dunedin lab will prove to help for him fast, and he returns to the powerhouse he was comfortable being. He just got brought up way too quickly with no big minors influence from the Jays, just his university. This could prove to be very beneficial for him, they have insane resources for him to do succeed. But yeah, Gausman pitched an absolute gem once again. Great to see Swanson and Richards pairing up at the end to save the other arms too. Bats came in pretty hot tonight too. I said it before and I'll keep saying it, both sides of the Varsho | Gurriel/Moreno trade won. Varsho's really starting to get comfortable playing in this tougher division while providing great defence, and Arizona gained more consistent hitters with a great catcher to boot. I really look forward to Varsho hitting his true average while belting homers like he has. To have that with his defensive skills, it's exciting. Grand hopes for the Jays to keep carrying this momentum forward. Espinal is back, Kirk's getting better, and once Vladdy refinds his swing, there's a really strong club here. After all of today's games, the Jays are suddenly back to 2-3 games behind both the Astros and Yankees in a wild card spot again. These divisions are rough and anything can happen still, just hope for the best in what's possible.

It doesn't help when Abreu(slow swing) and Maldy (a catcher that can't read pitches) are in the lineup as well. This team is going to be a just over .500 ball club with this situation ( Maldy and Abreu) Plus, Pena is not figuring out how to anticipate pitches like Yordan and others. I more than 65 % of the time call a pitch when he is sitting on a pitchers count. He is so easy to pitch to (if I had the skills)
It's sad to see birds in that state, at this point they have been burning muscle mass, probably the last 3 to 4hrs of the race, 14:3314:34 more or less depending when you started to build them up for this race. It's very hard to race the same birds every week, birds should be set up especially after 200 miles. Usually this experience should help you for next year. Best wishes in the future.

We had no answers for Gusman him dealing not to mention the umps giving him some pitches really shut our offense down and Hunter Brown was solid but those HRs he gave up was the difference as well. But luckily for us Framber is pitching tomorrow let’s hope he has a great outing and we can get back on track tomorrow and take game three
Unfortunately, Framer can pitch a great game, but the Astros will lose 1 or 2 to 0. Especially if Maldy Pena and Abreu are in the lineup. Oh, and Montareo is a reliever.

I feel sorry for batters , the guy can locate 98 where ever he wants or unleash the best splitter in baseball that looks like a fastball until it breaks 6 inches.
You can do that with a 98 mph fastball. Manoah tried to do the same with mediocre velocity and eventually got figured out (among other issues).
