beautiful videography Bruce! I liked this video
Hey thanks! Appreciate that!
That’s some flawless axe-ecution…
I never knew this was a thing. I always learn something new from your videos. Well done sir!
ha ha...nicely pun...er...done. Appreciate it!
Great video, Bruce!
Appreciate that, Erik!
Lemme axe you a question.... is that axe sharp enough to go through a bathroom door? I only ask because all work and no play makes Drew a dull boy.
ha ha ha...Here's Drewey!
Really interesting process indeed, Bruce! 😃
Thanks for the video!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Appreciate!
So cool Bruce! And what a cool idea to restore these old axes!
He does a ton of them. As you can see in some of the background shots, he has so many axe heads just waiting to be restored. Thanks, Ethan!
Great video and very informative Bruce!!! Roy does some amazing work!!!
Thank you! He really does!
Thanks so much!!
I would love to go to Roy's shop and work on an axe. Awesome video brother!
It's a cool shop for sure! Thanks, Gavin!
Hit me up, I’m here most days
Really cool seeing the process and that interesting belt sander
That thing was cool, wasn't it? He flew on that grinder. He's done it a time or two. Thanks, Bao!
The 2x72 belt grinder is a necessity for any shop!
Dang that dude does not mess around. If cleans a house as efficiently as he preps an axe, I wanna book him for some services. 😂
ha ha ha...he's all business! He's also done this a time or two.
Hit me up to schedule an appointment 🤣
Thanks for video, I am curious if he was ever concerned about or mentioned getting the axe edge too hot on the grinder? I thought that was a concern for hardness or ruining the hardness. I don’t know. I’m just asking. Thx!
I’m sure that is a consideration. I didn’t show all of the grinding because that would have been boring, but he took breaks often enough that it was not getting too hot.
The ceramic belts are very effect at keeping the steel cool. Also, when I switch to A/O belts, the RPMs are reduced to 50% to keep from overheating.
Well great, now I need a new belt sander.
That thing is so awesome!
I can’t live without it!
I want to throw that axe soooo bad 😆
ha ha ha...I've got it at my house. We restored it in another video I'll be doing and it turned out really cool!
I can hook you up, ha!!
