Don't ever doubt yourself, you have done an amazing job on your bathroom so far, everything you have done is spot on, truly amazing Dalton. I wouldn't do Black grouting for your tiles, it will look too busy, do what you did to your floor tiles which looks really classy. Deffo Grey grout. I have followed you since day 1 when you showed us what you bought your property. Good job you recorded every thing you did, will be great for you to look back on in the future. Wishing you the best from Cheryl in the UK xxx
Mrs Dalton's Mom, Hello there 👋 Time I tuned in and saw the shirt I was like, WOW that's a really nice shirt Dalton has on. You picked a very nice shirt, I love the colors. *😊 Maybe one day We'll be able to see you sometime. He's doing a great job, Smart and very Intelligent. I'm Proud of Him and I know that You are too. 😀 Have a Blessed Day!
Hey there…been with you since you started the channel and all I can say is wow…what a fabulous job you have done on the bathroom! When you first gutted it, it looked like a rickety lean to shed, and now it is turning into a stunning room. Well done you! Keep up the good work. Cheers from NC
A door stop on the side of the vanity will work perfectly. New shirt looks great - Thanks, Mom! That pitch black tile looks like it will work well with the floor tile. Dark shower walls will be a nice feature. The bathroom is really coming together and looks great! 👍🏼
If you use black grout it will overpower the gray tile, looks wise. I suggest gray grout, close to the tile color. Other than that your mom picked a real nice shirt for you, thanks mom! I still wish you’d make an Amazon wish list, lots of TH-camrs do. 😊 Whatever work out routine you do has given you very nice shoulders and arms.
Put some rosin paper down on the floor before finishing the drywall. Will help tremendously in the cleanup afterward. I just added a room in my basement and did a knockdown texture for the first time. Watched some videos on it, got the gun from Harbor Frieght and a plastic knockdown knife on Amazon. Turned out really nice
Funny you mention the similarity to your gym bathroom... I was thinking the same thing! There's a reason they use a lot of gray tile and dark grout. SO much less hassle to keep clean looking.
Dalton great job! Glad you didn’t get water damage. We’ll sounds like you won’t have enough time to get yourself in trouble. It’s looking real nice! Mom nice shirt! 👍👍
Those doors look really well hung, good job! You can also use an adjustable door stop that goes inside one of the hinge pins on the door if you don't want to mount something near the floor to stop it from hitting the ceiling.
I think the shower tile is perfect. For one thing it's a matt finish which doesn't show the drips as bad as shiny. It will go with the floor tile and more masculine look of the whole bathroom. Great job! You are a champ for taking on this house by yourself! I've watched every utube you've done! 😊
Nice shirt Mom : ). I love he gave a shout out to you. 💖. I love the idea of darker, I tend to go that direction too. Go with what you want. I like the tiles, good price too. Must feel so good to get this far along. You’ve worked hard and kept at it no matter what 👍
Don't try to wrap the tile around, unless you have the bullnose or transition pieces, otherwise you're going to see a raw unglazed edge of the tile on one side of the corner. They make aluminum corner extrusions that make a nice finished looking edge to hold a grout line that covers the tile edges.
Dark bathroom will be very masculine and look fabulous.not as if you have to put make up on! If there or when there is a young lady visitor she will manage I have no doubt😉😉🤣🤣 You have done brilliantly well and you are on the home straight now. Just a few weekends and it will be done. Thank your mum from us very smart shirt 🫶👏👏
Looks great! That's about as far as I am with my bathroom build too😅 I really like those tiles you chose for the walls, I have that style in a bigger format in my main bathroom, and what I like about those, that you don't see any water stains or lime scaling on those that easy, because of the natural surface and color. The only thing I probably could not permanently live with in my house is the direction the door to your bedroom opens to. A door swinging into the room, instead of towards the wall would somehow be superstrange to me. I totally get it for the other one opening towards the vanity table and away from the oposite door, but I would have taken a door attached to the other side for the bedroom. 😉
Always happy when I see a new video of yours pop up. Bathtub looks great. Almost ready to turn on the water and take a nice hot shower!!! At 20:20 great thumbnail..
Hey Dalton. Looks fantastic! Slow and steady wins the race. If you don't want to tile around the corner but need to cover the raw edges of the tile, they make both metal and tile edge trim you could install where you like. Just a thought.
The subway tile is awesome, don't be concerned about what the peanut gallery says about the color, you are the only one to satisfy, will look sharp. You might check where you purchased the tile and inquire if they have bull nose tile for the corners. Closing in on the finish, looking forward to your updates, Dalton. PS: I get it about working the day job six and seven days/week and then coming home to a project, been there and done that . Rock on.....
Jesus! When you were cutting the 4 1/2 hole 😅 I was really into looking at the knife you were holding and then it scared me when the video speeded up 😅
Think about tiling behind the toilet as well, maybe just the lower half of the wall? Using the shower tile, or the floor tile, or a combo of both (shower tile as the trim?). Might look good, plus easier for cleaning too.
You'll have to give Bauer another shot, at least with some of their other tools. Ive been doing alot of work this past year using nothing but Bauer, and it has yet to fail me. But all the stuff I have is the cordless line
I know this is weird, but...I keep looking at your blue plaid shirt lol. I like it. Haha I typed that before you said your mom got it for you. 😂 Great choice Dalton's mom! I like the tile. It will go well with your floors, but I think a dark grey like gun metal grey would look better than black. Just an idea.
There should be many colors of gray grout. I was told one shade lighter than the tile, you don’t want to draw black lines around your tile job, especially your first tub enclosure. Making the substrate as level and plumb and flat as possible goes a long way to make the final product great. Agree get an aluminum edge for both sides of you job and dont wrap the column.
I'm way too cheap and rely on HF and Wally World mostly because they don't question returns. I burned up a leaf blower/vacuum from Walmart in one day too. Sure did smell when I brought it back. I'm sure it feels good to see daylight coming at the end of the tunnel. My last house became a drag for the last few months because I just wanted it sold so I could move south. Won't be long, and you'll have sheetrock mud dust all over the place. Fun times.😂
You live there, you need to like the tile. But my 10c; seems to be a bit dark on the tile and there appears to be no window. Use it, or don't 🙂 Good luck and thanks for sharing!
A sand finish will not hide much. The surface needs to be flat as glass or your mistakes will show. Use cold water with y ok ur drywall compound. It will give you more time to go over your joints.😊
I think the tile looks great! As far as learning to drywall, I was first going to say at least it's a smaller room, but truth is it's got lots of angles and corners so probably not as easy as a person might think. You mentioned trim...do you think the shower tiles would work in place of baseboard? That would pull together the look through the whole room? Also, I know zero about installing tile...but would it be easier to put some of the floor tiles on the ceiling? I only say that because with the bigger size there might be fewer required to cover? Or get all fancy and do one row of the bigger tile at eye level or something since the two coordinate so well? I dunno, just thinking out loud here.
Shocking that the HF drywall gun crapped out. That Dewalt will last you 20 years or more. Pro-tip when hanging board, do the ceiling first, it's easier that way. The tile is nice imo. Does the "go board" require the seams to be mudded before waterproofing? I used cement board and always give the seams a coat of Durabond 90 (brown bag / mesh tape) before waterproofing. Lookin good
Be careful with black grout. It shows all defects in your job, and no tile job is perfect. I never use a conflicting color when I grout, I always try to match the tile or go a little darker. Also, if you use a dark grout, please get “grey” tile mortar when sticking the tiles down. This mortar will show through your grout joints and it sucks when you see little mortar spots after you finished grouting. Get a mortar that blends in, not white tile mortar!
Don't ever doubt yourself, you have done an amazing job on your bathroom so far, everything you have done is spot on, truly amazing Dalton.

Yes, the tile is very pretty, Great job 👍
That looks great. Your almost done with this remodel. You've tackled some tough projects with this bathroom. Thanks for sharing it with everyone. 😊
Congrats 🎉. Nice to see it closed in.
I’m so excited to see this incredible progress!! ❤❤❤

Thanks mom for the new shirt. He looks good in blue.
Your doing good on bathroom
I like the tile. It will be great with the floor.

Great job on getting all of the drywall board up, and thank you to Dalton’s mom for the new shirt.
What a difference!!Great job!!
Daltons Mom, awesome shirt. Thanks for getting him new shirt.
Ha! I noticed the shirt right away! Nice choice, Mom!
Looks great!
Hey Dalton. Looks fantastic! Slow and steady wins the race. If you don't want to tile around the corner but need to cover the raw edges of the tile, they make both metal and tile edge trim you could install where you like. Just a thought.
Before you even mentioned your mom buying your shirt I was going to comment on the new threads. Blue is a good color on you.😊

Like the tile. Goes with everything.
Good job, Dalton’s mom!
Now everything will go real fast. Get your next room ready for renovation!
Good looking shirt.
The laser level is a great tip for getting the screws in the studs
You could put the door stop in the ceiling so you don't step on it. They also make a door hinge bolt insert that is a stop.
Yes to the wrapping tile at the end of the tub, IMO. It's a real wear point in our bathroom and looks like crap done in drywall and paint.
Jesus! When you were cutting the 4 1/2 hole 😅 I was really into looking at the knife you were holding and then it scared me when the video speeded up 😅

You can always spray paint your door hinges blk. You also may want to think about painting all your doors blk
You'll have to give Bauer another shot, at least with some of their other tools. Ive been doing alot of work this past year using nothing but Bauer, and it has yet to fail me. But all the stuff I have is the cordless line
My cutout tool is still bauer and it seems to work well
Thanks mom for the new shirt!
Thanks, mom!

They do have hinge style door stops where they won't be too intrusive
There are metal strips that you can put along the edge of your tile where it ends
Thank you
Nice shirt, titles are nice,, too!

Thank you MM and Rock on! BTW, your mother, marching moto mom I guess, has good taste in flannel.

getting there
What did you do to your left thumb?
Tiles, great. It's gonna look great but I would not wrap it!

Dalton, how come no bathroom windows?
5:25 i want to keep it dark in there. Never really been a fan of bathroom windows
Bull nose for corner tile to make it looks professional
🙋👍
Nice job, some of those Bauer tools are not good. Almost as bad as the Menards "Tool Shop" brand. 😊
Smooth drywall is easy.
Texture is a pain. (getting the same texture in the whole room)
th-cam.com/video/VQIMaR7hWtM/w-d-xo.html
Bauer sucks, Hercules I’m impressed,
