The National Song of Jamaica was composed by Victor Stafford Reid. It was composed shortly after Emancipation through an established committee under the chairmanship of Mr. Henry Fowler, M.A. to formulate plans for preparing the youth of Jamaica for responsibility, independence and freedom.
FUN FACTS! - Through this committee, we also have the National Pledge and the National Prayer!
