BTW - I do recall a commentary on 2 Thess 2 3 which hypothecized that the KJV translators used "falling away" for the Greek "apostasia" as they interpreted it in light of the reformation. After all, they (the protestants) just removed themselves from over a millennium under the Roman Catholic church, a sort of "falling away" if you think about it, but from the corrupt and unbiblical practices instituted in the Catholic church. Maybe they saw their time as the time of Jesus' return?
This is a very powerful argument for the rapture PRECEDING THE DOTL (day of the Lord). However, I still haven’t resolved the following question, so anybody reading this please chime in to share with me your thoughts and study…. When does the DOTL begin? For example…..does it begin before the commencement of the 70th week pursuant to Daniel 9? Or does it begin right at the Abomination of desolation, which is at the Mid point of the 70th week…3.5 years in? If you don’t mind, I would appreciate Biblical references to support your answer. @@mapuiachawngthu1537 The church is raptured up before the 7 year tribulation as we are not appointed to wrath (1 Thess 5:9) Jesus said that he will save us from the hour of trial that will come to the earth (Rev 3:10) Revelations primarily deals with the 7 year tribulation and the church isn't mentioned in Revelation but in chapters 1-3. Matthew 24 talks about when the temple will be destroyed and the signs of when the tribulation period will begin giving us clues of when the rapture may occur within a season. It also talks about the second coming. The day of the Lord is also called the second coming. It is when He will come to earth with the raptured saints as mentioned in Matthew 24:31 (gathered Saints in heaven "did not mention earth"). When he/we come, it will be at the end of the tribulation. This is where he sets up his kingdom for 1000 years. Thus the meaning of nobody knows the day or hour when he comes but when he does like a thief in the night, it will be like the days of Noah it will be to late. When Jesus returns it is mentioned that 2 will be in the field and one is taken. This is when Jesus separates the sheep and goats from His kingdom that he establishes. Yes there is a second coming, his first was as a the Lamb of God at his birth and his second is as the Lion of Judah to rule. The rapture he does not come to earth and thus is why we meet the Lord in the air.
Great word !! Well done ! Here’s another thought : The Day of the Lord and the Day of Christ are both the same day (1000yrs) but from different perspectives . We rule and reign with Christ for 1000 yrs over the millennial citizens. To the citizens it’s the day of the Lords rule , but to Jesus , it’s His day, the day of Christ , and we reign with Jesus ! Some try and say the day if Christ is the rapture hence their wrong interpretation of falling away , their logic is that it can’t say the day of Christ (the rapture ) can’t happen until the falling away ( the rapture) happens first ? Which doesn’t make sense ? But if the day of Christ is our reign with Him for 1000yrs , then it makes perfect sense ! Ie the 1000yr reign can’t begin until the rapture happens before that ! Amen !

The “elect” in Mat 24,22 refers to Israel (His chosen) we are the bride !
