Love all the spots you shared. Headed to George Town in a couple of weeks. Do you mind sharing the access point/snorkeling spot you shared at the end of the video in George Town?
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The snorkeling spot at the end is at Eden Rock Diving Center in George Town. There’s a ladder there that takes you straight into the water. If you can’t find it, just pop into the diving center, and someone will be happy to point you in the right direction. A quick heads-up-there are some pretty big tarpon in the area, but don’t worry, they’re completely harmless! I hope you have an amazing time exploring George Town and enjoy your trip!
@@user-56455jfyjtd thank you so much for your kind words. I do put a lot of effort into my videos so it’s nice to be appreciated. I’m in Cayman at the moment and recording all of my next bits for part 2, so hope to have the video out sometime in early February. :)
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you found the video helpful. 😊 I haven’t been to Little Cayman or Cayman Brac myself, but a close family member who’s visited many times shared this: Little Cayman is incredible-relaxed and perfect for diving or just lounging in a hammock. Highlights include Bloody Bay Wall (some of the best diving in the world), Point of Sand (a lovely secluded beach), and bird-watching at the Booby Pond Reserve. Popular places to stay are the Southern Cross Club or Little Cayman Beach Resort, and most accommodations include bikes for exploring. It’s super low-key and very different from Grand Cayman. Cayman Brac is more rugged, with good diving and the Bluff to explore, but it’s less resort-focused. You can reach Little Cayman with a quick Cayman Airways flight from Grand Cayman. Hope that helps-have an amazing trip!
Grand Cayman scuba diving is in the Top 10 in the world. Tourist can go for a 40’ try dive with dive shop operator. Takes about 3-4 hours of your day, real dive with the marine life.
Awesome video! Would stingray city be ok for elementary aged kids? They can't swim but it doesn't look super deep. I wasn't sure if life jackets are provided or if we would need to bring them. Also worried about restroom access on the boat. Do they have any? We might just take a bus or taxi to the beach instead and come back when they are older.
Thank you so much for your comment! Most of Stingray City’s sandbar is shallow enough for adults to stand, but it might be too deep for younger children, depending on their height. I often see people using life jackets, which are a great option for kids who can’t swim. It really depends on the company you choose. I personally recommend Point Blue Sailing, as they’re fantastic at accommodating all types of guests. Another reliable option is Red Sail Sports-both are very experienced and should be able to provide life jackets if you call ahead and let them know you’ll have young children. I first visited Stingray City as a kid and thought it was the most magical experience-it’s something I highly recommend if you can do it safely with your children. Just be prepared for some fun surprises, like stingrays swimming up close or even climbing onto your back! As for restroom access, many boats do have facilities, but I’d suggest confirming that with the operator when booking. Hope you have an amazing trip!
Thanks for your comment! I usually stay with family when I’m in Grand Cayman, but when I don’t, I like to stay somewhere around Bodden Town. I personally prefer that side of the island over the bigger hotels-it’s quieter and has a more local vibe. One place I’d recommend is Turtle Nest Inn. It’s a great spot right by the ocean and perfect if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. It really just depends on the kind of vibe you’re after.
New subscriber. I'm looking forward to what's to come. Good luck with the channel 🎉
