I saw 19:45 minutes and wondered how on earth is he going to talk about a clasp for that long? Needn't have worried. I loved it. Fascinating. Thank you!
I had the same situation with a San Martin SN004-G V2. Took out the proper links to fit but the Glide Lock was fully extended. Not giving me room for fluctuations. Ordered an eBay Rolex half link. Filed down the mid-link to fit and bored the screw pin holes for the San Martin screw-pin. Worked out very well and no binding at that point. You can also use a dry lubricant to make up for the lack of Teflon pads.
I've done this exact mod on a steel dive because their clasps are stamped. Overall it's great that manufacturers like these keep strong specifications on the watch itself, considering you can change the strap and upgrading it over time
I purchased a 36mm explore homage by tandorio.IIRC the watch was between £40-50.I wasnt expecting a glide lock clasp but that what i got.To say i was impressed was an understatement considering the cost.Glide lock works flawlessly & going by this video id say its the same clasp .Thanks for the review
FYI I just took delivery of a Tandorio sterile diver on special offer, cost me 81€. NH35A, 904 SS, date, glass back and a glide-lock. The glide lock was not advertised on the Ali page but was much appreciated. Let me tell you, the quality of finish on this watch is far superior to the Pagani PD-1662 I had which was to a high standard to begin with. The glide-lock has all the best attributes like the internal holes for fastening so that they are not visible externally along with all the other characteristics you mention. I do not know if you have reviewed a Tandorio but they are worth a look. I´m stunned frankly. Best of all, it is 2 seconds fast per day. Not too shabby.
Same here, mate. I got a Tandorio Deepsea homage few months ago. Pt5000, glide lock, 904 stainless steel, titanium case back. Unreal value for the money.
Best detailed review I’ve ever heard. Could I suggest, with your connections to watch dive, creating a 22mm glidelock or tool free push button on the fly clasp. The purpose of the easy adjustment is to keep a good fit while our wrists expand and contract throughout the day. The larger the wrist the increase in variation so you’d expect the market would be for larger watches rather than a 20mm. I’ve got an 8 1/2 inch wrist, most of my watches are 42-46mm case diameter and have 22mm lug size. My wrist swells leaving marks and is uncomfortable I could obviously opt for a Velcro or elastic strap but, like many, I prefer a bracelet. Again congratulations on your vides which are loaded with great tips and observations. Thankyou
"The larger the wrist the increase in variation so you’d expect the market would be for larger watches rather than a 20mm". Asia is the worlds largest watch market. The majority of Asian collectors have smaller wrists below 6". Also the current trend is for smaller 36mm and 39mm pieces. Therefore there is greated demand for clasps to fit 20-16mm taper bracelets, rather than 22-18mm bracelets. In order to make it viable to retail a Glidelock style clasp with a profit margin in small batches of 500 pieces; one has to just manufacture one clasp size. There just isn't enough market demand to make a 22-18mm bracelet clasp viable to produce. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4kthat’s a shame, I agree, the trend is for smaller watches, but who buys just a bracelet? I know , people like myself, who have a fair few watches and would want to upgrade their clasps. If I could find a manufacturer of 18mm clasps or 22mm bracelets I’d buy 10 right away.
Great review. I especially like the tips you gave at the beginning. I have had a couple of Pagani watches and the clasps were definitely their weak point.
I couldn't help but laugh seeing the length of this video. I bought several of these glide locks from Ali, and the install takes me less than 5 minutes each. I hate the sharp edges on these, so before installing I spend considerable time working with small diamond files and different grits of sandpaper to smooth every sharp edge. Because I'm not a professional (and I don't have a Dremel-type tool) I end up messing up the look quite a bit, but all my edges are silky smooth 🤗

I have the Watchdives glidelock clasp in my hands right now, and I cannot for the love of god get the adjustment mechanism snap in. Maybe the tolerances are *too* tight...
Lay it on a desktop and press your thumb against it hard. They are tight and you have to push hard to deploy them and snap them back in. Regards, #WR4K
Talking almost 20 minutes about a clasp. I love the internet. BTW welcome back!
I love it
Was a great relaxing video.

I wasn’t able to find a half Link, except one for like 40 bucks, when I last searched…
We finally get a glimpse of the face behind the talking hands in the mirror polish finishing of the clasp! Interesting review too.
Good to see you back again. As always, brilliant reviews.

WR4K face reveal in the reflection of the clasp ?! 😂 Just messing around sir, great to have you back

Reviewing affordable watches. Recommending high-quality and precise Swiss-made tools to work on said watches. I like it.
Great advice. What width Polymide Tape do you recommend?

hello! Is full gold pagani design pd 1662 good? is the coating long lasting?
I have a policy on only giving my opinion on watches I have handled. Regards, #WR4K
@ oh, i thought you had that watch. by the way, thank you!
