I've been trying to find it for days now, and I'd just realized it may have been deleted due to copyright issues. Anyway, your plays are godly! Thank you for letting us hear such talent. Wow!! Awesome Bass!! You have great sense and taste on bass! I didn’t know that cat’s eye’s bass solo was thumbs up & down. I did it all down stroke, it was very tough stuff :)
I actually just sold out on that part and double thumbed haha 😅 it sounds like it’s an all downstroke part though - I just tend to play double thumb sixteenth notes whenever I can!

Marco Gómez thanks! It depends on the song/context really. I generally prefer the sound of deader strings so I left the same set on for this whole run of songs, but I’ll change them out for newer strings if I’m doing a song with more top end sizzle.
im sitting here on youtube trying to find a japanese pop song that I used to play on a CD that my dad brought back for me when he went to visit for his guitar business. All i rememebr was a killer slap bass line and some violins, but I discovered a whole genre from Japan that I didn't know existed.

hi! so sorry for the late response!! I used a slightly modified Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass for this one. would recommend that model or the Classic Vibe 70’s model for this style of playing 👍🏽
