    I owned a 71 Demon 340 back in 1972. Bench seat column shit 727.
I found a used 340 six pak manifold and 3 Holley 2 barrel carbs off a small block Corvette.
1300 cfm total and all the carbs were pumpers.
Added a Racer Brown solid lifter cam, lifters and rocker arms.
Made my own progressive linkage and the car was a monster on the street.
My 70 440 six barrel Cuda 4 speed had a non rally dash so thats normal for a 6 barrel Cuda

My buddy roger owned a truck almost identical to that one. It had a 318 in it and no matter how hard the off roading we did it never died. We did some crazy off roading too. I mean we’d have some electric problems and the truck would die but after a couple hours we’d figure out what was wrong and back in the trails. Man we swamped that thing so many times up to the windows, mud pouring inside the cab well up to the carb and it never died. It was a tank.

My brother once blew up his 340 engine in his 71 demon just as he got into Springfield from Oklahoma.
Parked it at a truck stop just off the freeway, never made it back to get it.
Hope you guys were the ones to retrieve it. The car was low miles and mint when parked.
Always wanted to go back to look for it in his honor.

Dave Rea gives a very nice explanation how heater boxes and dash panels are restored giving credit where it’s due. Thank you Dave you’re a credit to the shop. Will Scott still enthusiastic every time he steps into the paint booth👏, keep up the great work.

Many of the Mr Norm cars ended up at my shop in LaGrange Illinois which was a Hot Rodder hang out and next to the #2 McDonalds which was also a Hot Rod Hang Out. From my place, headed east was a piece of 55th Street which many kids used as a drag strip. The shop was also not very far from Gary Dyers shop who was instrumental in making Mr. Norm the success that he became. On a Friday night, you could pull into my place and be literally surrounded by Gasser's, HP Dodges and HP Plymouth's One of my guys owned A 57 De Soto Adventurer which used to eat Olds J2's alive. There was a ton of Super Bee's, Road Runners and I had both a BG/S Fordilac and a 57 Pontiac with factory fuel injection. We also cannot forget the abundance of Chevrolet's which dominated and, Yes even a Jaguar XKE. Almost sound like a Beach Boys add doesn't it? I would give my left nut to go back for one more Friday night. And, Oh bye the way, None of these cars had Motors or Trannys in them, they all had ENGINES.

While I love seeing a Demon, I need to see more Mopars like Darts & woody wagons from the 60' - 80's. It doesn't need to be muscle all the time. We love Mopars, we need to save these Icons. How about a little more variety. Peace man love the show!!!

A cool episode...the Fathers Day gift was awesome!! My first car was a 71 Demon..always great seeing an A body getting lots of TLC. I sooo wish I still had it..I think its a rarer car then the Mr Norms from what I've found online..225-6 3 speed...on the floor...best 50 bucks i ever spent.
Your attention to detail is great to see and your crew is lucky to get to bring gems back to their former glory. Keep up the excellent work guys :-)

Put some Hush Thrush mufflers on that truck and run pipes all the way to the back bumper and you will be amazed by the deep rumble it produces. It won't be loud or harsh but that deep sound suggests power.
I did that to my 1974 Dodge van and it sounded great.

when i bought my 73 challenger, the previous owner removed the oe dash which was a non ralley and put in a ralley dash! i dont like wood grain and i didnt like the ralley dash! the guages are tiny and i perfer the big guages which are nice and easy to read, the dash also has a bilevel look which i adore! and certainly, the idiot lights will catch my eye if oil pressure drops before a low oil pressure guage reading would! so i repaired the wiring that they cut and changed the senders and reinstalled the original cluster! great vid guys, love what you do..

I got burned on a 76 Plymouth Gold Duster at 16. Before receiving it it had one engine replaced while still under warranty by original owner before she gave it to her grandson. He drove it to Texas and upon arrival had to invest in another slant six as it was blowing smoke. Being a Missouri boy he traveled back and forth several times a year. His third year he again had to replace the worn engine. Only he had his wife drive it back and sell the car in Missouri where it was titled. My brother purchased it from his friend for his wife as the body was beautiful. She drove it one summer and again the engine was acting up blowing this time blue smoke and parked it. My father purchased it and also purchased a wreck/totalled out Dart swinger that we swapped out the engine for my mom who hated the car. 😆 So when I turned 16 I kind had it dumped in my lap. I enjoyed driving this slow 🐌 slug for a year before running it low on oil and caused it to have a hard enough tic that again I replaced the engine. 😆 Having had enough of swapping engines (had 7 under belt before 16 years old being the youngest of 6 kids) I asked dad to just sell it while it was running good and bought a 71 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon. Never bought another mopar since. Love them at a far and don't have to own everything I like was my saying. Enjoy these resurrection of cars from our past. Keep up the good work
