I think this particular mix of just this track epitomizes and embodies the heart and soul of the Original Sound Factory on West 27th Street in NYC. When this came on you would just let go and the dance floor would just get CRAZZZZY!!! Thank you Frankie and Junior for some of the greatest moments of my life on a dance floor with great people, great energy, every Saturday night for 12 straight hours for about a good 7 years!
I WAS AT THE SOUND FACTORY BAR IN NYC FOR THE NEW MUSIC CONFERENCE DURING THIS TIME AND HEARD KNUCKLES PLAY THIS LIVE OFF OF REEL TO REEL IT MUST HAVE BEEN FRESH OUTTA THE STUDIO THAT DAY....WHAT AN EXPERERIENCE! NEVER FORGET IT!
@Dwayne Carey I remember when Frankie first played this at The Sound factory on west 27th. You had to peel the people off the ceiling!!!! I will never forget that night among many that Frankie would just lay the Sound Factory OUTTTT!!!!
Not important but I think it would've been at Sound Factory on West 27th St, the Sound Factory Bar opened later (~Jan 1992) in a smaller space on West 21st St.
This version is CLASSIC, everything else pales in comparison. The feeling in this version puts you on the plane on thought to focus on this fight against "The Pressure"!
this mix with extra vocal verses was never released on commercial 12" thanks for posting , this was a new time at Sound Factory, Jr was out Frankie was in.. great memories of that summer
Can we start a petition to get Part II released on wax? It's such a gorgeous mix, so bittersweet. I can't believe it never saw the light of day after hearing this on some SF mixtapes from way back when...
Such a glorious time for music. This still gives me goosebumps. There is a Knuckles mix with a house beat but this is the best mix. Great story too. Thanks for sharing.
This is The Pressure Pt. 2 from the LP. When Victor Rosado was playing Ministry with Larry Levan he was working this in to the club mix, it was explosive!
Thanks for the info, I've always wondered if there was a white label or acetate or if it was just on a DAT or reel. It's such a beautiful version, I was hoping it might eventually show up on one of the reissues but not so far :(
@FBSundayClub the track with that mix name on the Mixmag 1992 compilation CD is mistitled, it's actually the original Frankie Knuckles "Classic 12" Mix With Vocal Intro," very similar to this but the drums kick in around the two minute mark.
Once again the musical masters Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis creating something soooooooooooooooooo freekin' magical that moves your soul to t e a r s!!! I can't....
@jeremynewall It's very similar but the LP version I've heard is a little different and has some TR 808 sounds on it (it's posted on here). Unless maybe there are different US/UK versions of the LP?
i just uploaded a new de-noised version here: www.mixcloud.com/banhmiverlag/sounds-of-blackness-the-pressure-pt-ii-unknown-mix-best-quality/ (youtube blocked the audio when i tried to upload it here)
Amazing... Check out Duster Valentine's mix... "(My back is) against the wall"... It's how i found this gem :) working his remix into the intro of this track is definitely my next set opener!
Is there a version of this where a piano intro sounding much like this mix transitions into a house beat? I just heard this at a club, but I'm not sure if it was just mixed into a different house track.
Yes, it's called the "The Pressure (Pt. 1) (Classic 12" Mix With Vocal Intro)" - used to be available on TH-cam but appears to have been blocked and removed by the copyright owners

Those words along with this track, for me the most emotive house tracks of all time just had me in tears x

Can we start a petition to get Part II released on wax? It's such a gorgeous mix, so bittersweet. I can't believe it never saw the light of day after hearing this on some SF mixtapes from way back when...
The complete version was on here until WMG removed it.
That is the most glorious thing that I've heard in ages. THANK YOU.
You will be missed Frankie. Truly one of the great, you have created a whole new genre for millions to enjoy. We will love you forever.
Take me back to Tracks DC the summer of '91.
Yes, Frankie tapes from the mixer feed. And that is Frankie's handwritting.on the cassette J card pictured.
I remember when TDK, Memorex and Maxell were very important names to me. I was my school's king of mixtapes.
OMG!! I have been trying to find this version of this song forever... Thank you!!!!
Thank you for this! See you in heaven Frankie! Love from Chicago
Such a glorious time for music. This still gives me goosebumps. There is a Knuckles mix with a house beat but this is the best mix. Great story too. Thanks for sharing.
FK Always. RIP my friend.
This is my FAVORITE VERSION of this phenomenal song... Love this...Thank you for sharing :-)
frankie lives forever
I stand corrected on my earlier comment, this is as far as I know an unreleased Knuckles mix. The Terry Burrus Grand Piano is unmistakeable.
This is The Pressure Pt. 2 from the LP.
When Victor Rosado was playing Ministry with Larry Levan he was working this in to the club mix, it was explosive!
this song help me get by the Day. I love it.
Truly breath taking! Thanks for uploading these mixes
Kind of like a Reprise Mix. I wished it had been released.
Love this version. Bringing back a lot of memories.
Stunning track and the mix tape
This version takes me higher!
@jeremynewall Hey Jeremy. This is a mix that Frankie did that wasn't released. He always played it from the reel to reel.
Touches my soul deep down inside.
Amazing!!! Had this on blast this morning! Love starting my day with some good deep in your soul music. Thank you Jesus.
Mannn.. this is so awesome. I remember this song from back in the day. Still as powerful with this remix.
Thanks for the info, I've always wondered if there was a white label or acetate or if it was just on a DAT or reel. It's such a beautiful version, I was hoping it might eventually show up on one of the reissues but not so far :(

BEST version...don't really care for the techno/ house version. This is the ORIGINAL! Classic!
Reuben yes!!!
This version isn't the Classic Mix either. This is one of the alternative mixes. That's why WMG didn't remove it.
Still gives me chills
Beautiful

@jeremynewall It's very similar but the LP version I've heard is a little different and has some TR 808 sounds on it (it's posted on here). Unless maybe there are different US/UK versions of the LP?
