His dad wasn't necessarily in it for fame and fortune. He loved sharing knowledge about animals with people who may never see them otherwise. Television was how he could do that
But he DID manhandle some of the wildlife too much, for the sake of showing them. I prefer the naturalists that handle the animal once, and then let them go. Or, interact with animals that are desensitized to humans.
Steve was very much about the fame towards the end. I can remember when that man would go out into the bush, just he and Wes, with nothing but his dog and Cam-corder. That was when he was all about the animals. It's believed that Terry is actually the one who encouraged him to contact an actual television crew.

He’s going about it the right way. That was his father and so rather than following in his footsteps for fame he wants to make him proud and it shows. He’s very genuine and actually cares about the animals and that’s what he’s focusing on.
I was thinking the same! I think Steve wouldn’t mind if he could share his thoughts beyond the grave, but she chooses not to because what they had was so special, sincere, and unique that she knows she won’t find anyone that can satisfy her the same way. They were, in every definition of the word, soulmates. Like doves, the Irwin’s mated for life.

I remember him and his dad from the day he was born, vicariously through the television show his father made famous. The kid looks real good these days, I'm proud to see him growing up, I honor his father by watching his son grow and feeling exactly like his father would feel so I know his dad would be happy

Wow. I remember watching Steve shows on Saturdays and I remember when Robert was born. He looks so much like his dad. Prayers of protection and longevity of life to this young man and his family. Its so awesome he's choosing to take care of wildlife too.
I've seen some of his clips, and he does remind me of his father. There's just this level of geniuneness, and you can feel the care he has for the animals he works with. No one can top Steve, he's such a legendary icon, but I feel like Robert will come into his own legacy.

I grew up watching Steve religiously, the man was a legend and changed my childhood for the better. RIP to a damn good father and overall human. Glad to see his son carrying that legacy.
Steve Irwin would tell you that they were just being stingrays. They don’t attack for the same reasons humans do.. We are in there habitat. So great to see his mom she raised her children so well her hubby smiling down on them all

He’s going about it the right way. That was his father and so rather than following in his footsteps for fame he wants to make him proud and it shows. He’s very genuine and actually cares about the animals and that’s what he’s focusing on.
They are all such precious people. They give me chills! So sweet and kind hearted.

I was thinking the same! I think Steve wouldn’t mind if he could share his thoughts beyond the grave, but she chooses not to because what they had was so special, sincere, and unique that she knows she won’t find anyone that can satisfy her the same way.
They were, in every definition of the word, soulmates. Like doves, the Irwin’s mated for life.
His babies have carried his legacy brilliantly. We all know he would be so proud of them. I can't imagine how much they all miss him. I miss him myself. ❤️

Yeah, since their father died I have just wished the best for him and his sisters and that they can continue their fathers legacy. They seem to have grown to amazing adults.

God bless him. He means well. He really does, you can tell he misses his dad so much but he wants to walk his own path. Much love and respect. We've watched the Irwin kids grow up and I feel so much happiness that they too love animals as much as their dad did.

I remember him and his dad from the day he was born, vicariously through the television show his father made famous. The kid looks real good these days, I'm proud to see him growing up, I honor his father by watching his son grow and feeling exactly like his father would feel so I know his dad would be happy

Be fairly honest, his reputation goes as far back as when he was first shown on TV with his dad as little kid. The fact that his interests in his dad's interests aligned makes him incredibly relatable as many of us watching Steve Irwin as we grew up loving wildlife. So I might be wrong about this but I think that he nearly fits his dad's shoes already.

Wow. I remember watching Steve shows on Saturdays and I remember when Robert was born. He looks so much like his dad. Prayers of protection and longevity of life to this young man and his family. Its so awesome he's choosing to take care of wildlife too.

I've seen some of his clips, and he does remind me of his father. There's just this level of geniuneness, and you can feel the care he has for the animals he works with. No one can top Steve, he's such a legendary icon, but I feel like Robert will come into his own legacy.

I grew up watching Steve religiously, the man was a legend and changed my childhood for the better. RIP to a damn good father and overall human. Glad to see his son carrying that legacy.
