    I have 2 weeks left in kit before I begin my resettlement/terminal leave after 8 1/2 years. Have a job lined up and all of that. Absolutely bricking it but buzzing for it at the same time!
    Overall I've enjoyed my time and done a lot of the stuff I wanted to do but I cannot justify staying when there's no deployments, no chances to use my trade and no worthwhile work other than endless bone jobs whilst I'm half a country away from home. If it's just more of the this on the menu I cannot continue to put every other part of my life on hold for no good reason.

    Good to see you posting again, mate! I left last year and it was the best decision I’d made. A lot of people in the army live in a bubble and try using scaremonger tactics to deter you from leaving

    I just started reading your posts and find it quite interesting. I joined age 15 in 1964 and left age 27. Many people did try to encourage me to stay on but once I had made my mind up I went.

    Thank you for this video. I’m leaving in a few days and I’m really apprehensive about civvy street, but this video made me feel better.

    Been a while since ive seen one of your videos i took some running advice tips from you about 2 years ago. My asthma was pretty bad and my quality of life wasnt good, after following the training of doing intervals one week on and one week distance running. I eventually got to a level of fitness where doctors are suprised by my resting heart rate. I hope you keep putting out great fitness content it really helped me when I needed it most even though I wasnt joining the army.

    First couple of years of transition from the green machine to civ div is the hardest mate , got out in 1999 after serving 12 years …..first 18 months i I had loads of regrets even to the point of trying to rejoin , now do l have regrets ? Answer to that is no , I don’t miss it one bit BUT I miss the people I served with , civ div is on a totally different level to us , you can take the man out the Army never take the Army out the man 😉

    • @combatreadyhq
      @combatreadyhq  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That’s exactly and the best way to put it, I don’t miss the military but I do miss the people I was with

    Could you please do a video on options for your average soldier on civvy street ? For example job options and courses that are good to do before leaving

    Well the real question is does general Cornwallis regret surrendering to the American rebel patriots at Yorktown? When the French navy defeated the best in the world, British navy the French blocked the British way of leaving so therefore they were stuck behind American and French cannon fire. They were basically forced to surrender.
