The Baltany field watch. A couple of weeks ago I bought the Tandorio equivalent for 1/3 the price ($39+tax). Truly equivalent - same stainless case, sapphire, movement and strap. Like the mainstream big brand market, Baltany is getting a big head. (and I do own a Baltany 1926 which I enjoy)

All of these watches are in the sort of top price category of Ali watches. Nice watches for sure but i am in the market for lower priced Ali watches.
I have to laugh at myself though.
I was buying micro brand watches for twice the price of these watches and was quite happy to pay the price
Once i realized that most of those micro brand watches are built in China i realized that they were really no better than some Ali watches .
Not all Ali watches but quite a few.
The next step was that i started to realize that there were great bargains to be had if you did your analysis properly.
Now i am a cheapskate searching for the best quality at the best price and $100 is my limit right now.
I am finding quite a few bargains that suit me just fine in that price range.
I do see that some of the SanMartins etal are perhaps a level above but not for me yet if ever. I am quite happy bottom feeding.
I bought steeldive willard and was blown away with quality. What's a couple of your favorites?

Buyers beware: Whilst you might receive an item of acceptable quality, buyers should be aware that any and all AliExpress guarantees are worthless and will not be honoured: you may well be sent Chinese junk (!) and be stuck with it...with no option of refund/repair/replacement. With the last defective watch I returned, they not only refused to refund me but failed to send the watch back to me so that I could repair it myself!!!

This is true but from my experience this is a very rare acurance. I have bought about 50 watches from AliExpress over the years from many different brands and the only brand I have ever had a problem with is Pagani Design. But boy have I had problems. Each time I just threw away the watch instead of going through the hassle of returning it. To me, this is just the cost of buying Chinese watches. If on the rare occasion you have a problem, you just eat the cost of the watch.
Well, I've had an issue once but maybe I'm just lucky. I returned it and got almost all of my money back. Sorry to hear about your experience though. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎
With over 40 AliExpress watches I have never had an issue that didn't get easily resolved (in fairness I have one non-watch item that i am having trouble with).
Even Pagani who sent me the wrong watch once told me to keep it and quickly sent me the exact watch I ordered.
