Dorian Yates, undeniably one of the original "mass monsters" from the back in the day, he changed the face of bodybuilding to a point where outstanding competitors like Ray, Levrone, Lebrada, Wheeler could not beat him 6 years in a row. He set a new standard working on his own with old equipment in a basement gym in the UK. Unbelievable.

He was exactly right on Rogan when he said he felt he couldn't even really fit any more muscle on his frame. The guy looks absolutely carved from stone. His tris look insane, to say nothing of his back, probably his best area.
Being a bodybuilder all juiced up in the 90s must have been so interesting ; almost 90% of them didn’t admit to their use and so many normies wondered if it was really natural or not . On top of that , learning all the ins and outs of bodybuilding AND p.e.d use would be a nightmare without the internet . Besides that , the 90s were one of the best decades . I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that besides the 80s aesthetics, the 90s was the peak of of bodybuilding in terms of mass/aesthetics .

Conditioning is not the only thing that defines a complete bodybuilder. Where is the aesthetics, the elegance, the flow, the classical lines in Dorian? Dorians transitions are just as bad as jays and ronnies. Brandon at least puts effort into making his physique flow with great classical lines. Also he puts effort into his flexibilty to pull off some insanely difficult poses which Dorian didn't even come close to.

Some people come along and just change the whole game and how it's played. His routines were really snappy and hard movements compared to the regular graceful poses. He changed it all. He was awesome.

Some of the best conditioning ever bone dry grainy and veins popping with good mass on top Yates is an all time great no one in the last 15 years had had this type of conditioning in the olympia
I quit caring about the Olympia after Yates retired. That was a champion. Actually Coleman was great too. But my favorite of the 90s was Yates. Just pure determination and grit. His conditioning was second to none and the size was perfect.
