dwight was a legit superstar and best player on the team from 2008-2012, but to say he carried a bunch of role players is a massive overstatement. jameer nelson and rashard lewis made the all star team in 2009, and hedo turkoglu made virtually every clutch shot necessary for us to advance to the nba finals. not too mention we had a deep bench made up of jj redick, marcin gortat, courtney lee, and mikael pietrus. Bottom line: dwight was a huge piece of that 2009 finals team, but to say he carried us single handedly is false and short sighted
Nick Shwartz TMac is way better than Dwight. That is a terrible comparison. HOF is about the individual. Before injury TMac was on Kobe’s level of skill. Dwight never even close to Kobe’s level.
@Jswirv What's laughable is that you say Dwight's offensive production is compatible to T-Mac. T-Mac won a regular season scoring title with 32 ppg. The most Dwight after averaged was 22 ppg. It's not even close. Next I never said skill determines a HOF. I was simply making the point that T-Mac should be in the HOF bc he was consistently producing on Kobe's level for years. Kobe even said Tracy was the toughest player for him to guard bc he can do everything he can do and he's taller. I won't say "skill" since you read way too much into words and semantics. Third Dwight won defensive player of year for all those years bc there is a bias for bigs when it comes to that award. Tracy McGrady was an excellent defender in his own right. You clearly don't watch enough basketball if you don't know that McGrady was a great defender. T-Mac shutdown two offensive juggernauts in Dirk and Glen Robinson in the playoffs. However, for the sake of the argument I can be objective and give Dwight the edge on overall defensive impact. You talk about Dwight's finals appearance but he had better teams around him. McGrady never got to play with a healthy prime Grant hill. Only had a couple of healthy years with Yao, who retired early due to injury. In short, Dwight had the longevity, but prime vs prime McGrady is certainly the better basketball player. Any NBA player would tell you the same. Dwight had flaws like lack of post moves, no mid range game, poor free throw shooter, no handles. However, you cant name one flaw in T-MAC's game. I REST MY CASE
@@nirdeep07 Again you are a sheep just like the guy I just addressed. I never said skill determines hall of Fame. I simply said Tracy was on Kobe's level of skill for years to support that he was a great player deserving of the Hall of Fame. However, since you can not read between the lines. I will simply say Tracy's production in his prime was on Kobe's level for years. Now what is laughable is that you compared Tracy McGrady to Kyrie Irving. Tells me everything I need to know about your level of basketball knowledge. I REST MY CASE
"From a numbers perspective it is justified" Why are you taking into account anything outside of his numbers and play? This is not the hall of nice people.

@Tod Wilkinson no he didn't. And you know something else, he's never had very high trade value either. So the teams that have had him, I don't think it valued in that much. And I don't think he's been the Difference Maker, very often did a player of his talent should have been. He has moved around a bit, that's true. But it's almost like he's been a rental player much of his career. He certainly isn't truly in demand like most real Superstars have been.
Dwight still averaged a double double everywhere he went except for the 9 games he played in Charlotte. I don’t think his talent diminished as much as the game changed around him, he got hurt & got older. Aside from that this dude has been a good to great player everywhere, every year.
Dudes that say Dwight isn’t a HOF are the same dudes that think Melo clearly is. Dwight has an 8 year stretch where he was on topic of being the best player in the NBA. Surely the best big man. He could of retired after that point and it would be a no brained for most people. But Kobe didn’t like him and Harden and his issues so you all degrade him on what he already accomplished. Dude is still a walking double double..
Brent Melo is the most overrated player in NBA history, I’ll go to the grave saying that. Left Denver didn’t do anything after, no nba finals appearances

eoe123321 he’s absolutely first ballot. Go check those accolades again fam. His accolades are in line with Alonzo, dikembe, etc, who are all first ballot. And u can argue that he had a better career than both.
SAS: “saying this BS because we have to disagree for ratings, is hard for me”
john doe thank you, that’s exactly what is happening here
Yessszz this man led the Magic to the finals with Jameer Nelson cmon now
Lmao. Facts
Even worse didn't skip to my lou start in the playoffs for a little bit because Nelson was hurt? Lmao
Best times!
Saif Siddiqui that team wasn’t even close to on the level the Celtics were or even lebron and the cavs Jameer Nelson wasn’t an all star foh
Saif Siddiqui Nelson had one year in his career where he averaged more than 13 points a game and it happened to be that year. He averaged 16 a game that’s not all star numbers
This man won 3 dpoy awards multiple all nba selections multiple all star selections of course he’s a hall of famer if he’s not then idk why Chris Paul is considered a hall of famer
David Robertson I don’t even see why Chris Paul is considered one I mean he’s on the all time assist list but that’s the only thing he has going for him he has been an MVP candidate but he doesn’t have one he has multiple all star selections tho dude hasn’t even made the finals
@@Sam-oe4dt dont need to be a mvp to be a hall of famer... dont need to make the finals either. Majority of hof probably havent done one or the other and a good number havent done either.

Lool I should kill myself right now ahaha are we really arguing whether cp3 is a hall of famer
SamYG You probably like 12 tf you know how good CP3 was 2007-2014 easily the best pg in basketball
What is SAS talking about with the last 8 years: He's averaged a double double all of that time
the show makes max and Stephen a disagree with each other so that it's more of a debate show
Kobra Khan plus he’s been hanging around 16/12 and had a 30/30 game two years ago. He had two bad years. Last year and Atlanta where he averaged 13 and 11. Those are his worst seasons since 04 when he got drafted.
Some days I feel like slapping SAS
He explains why he wouldn’t take him despite acknowledging the numbers in the video...
Lol those are not HOF numbers
He has more accolades then Grant Hill a Hall of Famer plus just as consistent. He average a double double for 13 seasons
Imagine thinking this was even a question,
Denzel Wilksch ikr
@Tod Wilkinson Bill Walton Ralph Sampson Tracy Mcgrady
@Kruv Mezulari Name an MVP that isn't a HOF. It's not the same.
Kruv Mezulari The difference is Derrick Rose has played at a high level the last couple seasons including this one. There’s no debate about Rose being a HOF if Dwight Howard is considered one. I mean he was an MVP 10 years ago and is still relevant.
Denzel Wilksch stephen a just making noise
Dwight literally deprived us of that Kobe vs LeBron Finals.
Lebron just didn't want that Mamba smoke. Facts. 2010 ECF proved it even more.
MrGenexxx Lebron averaged nearly FORTY that series against Orlando. Are you kidding???

He single handedly took the magic to the finals with a bunch of role player.
David Krumme faxtssssssssssssssssss
GREAT role players
And as a center too.
I wouldn’t say single handedly. Hedo, Jameer, Rashard Lewis played pretty darn well in that playoff run. Hedo made some insanely tough, clutch shots
dwight was a legit superstar and best player on the team from 2008-2012, but to say he carried a bunch of role players is a massive overstatement. jameer nelson and rashard lewis made the all star team in 2009, and hedo turkoglu made virtually every clutch shot necessary for us to advance to the nba finals. not too mention we had a deep bench made up of jj redick, marcin gortat, courtney lee, and mikael pietrus. Bottom line: dwight was a huge piece of that 2009 finals team, but to say he carried us single handedly is false and short sighted
Stop playin with that man, maybe not first ballot but definitely in their
You stop playing too he is first ballot
*there
No he is first ballot not even close.
He's first ballot
He's first ballot
If TMac can get in having never gotten out of the first round, Dwight can and does deserve to get in.
Nick Shwartz TMac is way better than Dwight. That is a terrible comparison. HOF is about the individual. Before injury TMac was on Kobe’s level of skill. Dwight never even close to Kobe’s level.
@Jswirv Just Won The Finals 2020
@@brent9908 don't use skill as a factor for hall of fame lol. If that's the case Kyrie Irving would be in the hall of fame in his 3rd year 😭😂😂
@Jswirv What's laughable is that you say Dwight's offensive production is compatible to T-Mac.

Melo has career numbers.. dwight has Orlando numbers
Melo is a First ballet HOF period you could give way better examples for your point
Nothing Stephen A. said was wrong 💯
Luis Rodrigues Stephan A said Dwight having problems with teams makes him less likely to get in. Melo didn’t fit with the Rockets or Thunder 🤷🏾♂️

Tod Wilkinson the difference is Dwight is on the downside of his career and still a valuable player to have on your team and just look at his prime how is that not a hall of fame carreer?
Tod Wilkinson Rodman never put up 20 ppg for a decade. So that criteria is inaccurate. It’s about impact in the league. And for a stretch Dwight was the best center in the league. 3 dpoy in a row. And led his team to the finals. Hof.
Tod Wilkinson no u don’t dingus, Scottie pippen got in, vlad divac got in, Dwight Howard has literally only had 2 bad seasons bruh. This is a joke the man had a 30/30 game 2 years ago. Steven a doesn’t like Dwight lol
Tod Wilkinson the league changed around the time he had BACK SURGERY. And the lakers rushed him back.
Dwight still one of my favorite centers ever cause I’ve see What he did in Orlando
Neither do I n I’m lakers fan
Dwight still averaged a double double everywhere he went except for the 9 games he played in Charlotte. I don’t think his talent diminished as much as the game changed around him, he got hurt & got older. Aside from that this dude has been a good to great player everywhere, every year.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, Dwight should get into the HOF with his eyes closed.
I’m starting to realise SAS has no idea what he’s talking about.
Muthar Younis finally seeing the light? Glad you are
He doesn’t actually believe D12 isn’t a HOFer, they just need to disagree for ratings 🤦🏻♂️
Jarred Husted Melo is better than Dwight. It’s not even close. That’s why they say that. Don’t ever compare Melo to Dwight again.
Brent Melo is the most overrated player in NBA history, I’ll go to the grave saying that. Left Denver didn’t do anything after, no nba finals appearances
