Thanks AFV. Yes, this time I knew every one of the marches. I rushed away to get an earlier train back to get away from the rain, but it didn't actually get me home any earlier. I very much hope to be able to get to the Scots Guards band, and the Irish Guards band, this week, so fingers crossed that the rain stays away for both of them!

Thank you! Just waling up to this on the Pacific Coast in the realms 🇨🇦 I always enjoy seeing the band and guard emerging from barracks and there is a lovely long shot up the street around 3:05. The various “obstructions” (top prize at 4:11) must be frustrating. Good to see so many appreciating the march & music though!
Hi Deborah, thanks, and I'm glad you had something reasonably tuneful to wake up to! Yes, the obstructions can get a bit frustrating, but I have to remember that most of them have at least as much right to be there as I do. The crowds and spectators rather fall into 2 camps. There are the big crowds of people mainly standing still, nearer the castle, that I imagine are mainly tourists, many from overseas, and then there are all the "regulars" who walk along with the bands and Guards, who I think are mainly local enthusiasts (plus those who film).
Ever notice the sidewalk battalions stay in step ? It's almost 8 am in Gettysburg Pa. My coffee cup has runneth over due to my marching through the house
