DUDE I'm so glad I'm not the only one that made this connection. Jordan Peterson and DGRP...worlds collide. Dr. Peterson says there is a truth in fiction that is as real as a truth in science, which is what the game was basically trying to say. Thank you

We already implicitly uderstand this, that there are elements of reality within fiction because wihout those elements fiction wouldn't exist. It is real people who make observations about the world and turn those observations into fiction.
However, here's where I disagree. While it is true that fiction is a distilation of reality this does NOT prove that fiction possesses the power to change reality. To say that fiction can change reality is an assumption on our part based on zero evidence; it is a logical fallacy.
Consider a scenario where a person has never been exposed to any kind of fiction save for his own ability to imagine and make predictions and plan for the future. Our ability to imagine and reason is not in and of itself an external force manipulating our decision making. Rather, it is part of what constitutes our consciousness. There is no external actor changing us. There never was. All decisions are taken by us ourselves. Therefore, it is impossible for fiction to change the world. Because fiction is not an entity unto itself. It is just an abstract representation for the imagination and reasoning capacity of the human brain.
To put it another way. Language is not an entity unto itself, either. It is not my words, nor anyone's words, that which convinces you or makes you think. Rather, language is an abstract placeholder for knowledge and memories which you already possess into your own brain. Communication throuh language does not manipulate your brain into thinking this way or that way because communication through language itself is not a real thing. It has no real substance. We pretend it has substace in order to communicate with one another, but what is actually communicated is not a physical thing other than compression waves in the air and scribbes on paper.
The true secret of communication rests on our unilateral agreement on what certain scribbles and air compression waves mean. And that unilateral agreement relies solely on the fact that all people, assuming their brains and their censory organs are healthy, receive the exact same information from their environment as everybody else. If I see a tree and you see a tree and we are both looking at the same tree then we are having a common experience. A common experience only seperated by the fact that our similar brains are not the same brain. Therefore, when we communicate through language what we are actually doing is remembering knowledge we already obtained as individuals. Knowledge that is recalled at the request of whatever meaning we have all agreed upon on the particular scribbles or compression waves of air we happen to transmit at the time.
And new knowledge may be generated when those particular scribles and compression waves make a request for the reorganization of our internal libraries, but the reorganized knowledge is still being generated and kept within the individual's brain. Therefore, language is not a thing unto itself either because it too is just an abstract representation of our imagination and reasoning capacity, meaning, language in and of itself cannot chane reality.
I cannot just write "tuna sandwich" and expect a tuna sandwich to suddenly materialize, now can I? But, I can communicate the idea to a cook that I would like to eat a tuna sandwich and that if they make me one I'll pay for it. I did not compell this transaction to occur with my words. I merely stated information that the cook already knew existed in the world and he already knew the meaning of it because he has experienced it himself. I did not change him. I merely synchronized my brain with his for that particular scenario. And that's how I ended up with a delicious tuna sandwich on my plate.

Lost me when he said distillation, where's the liquid?
What he's saying can be fiction itself.
How many distillation did he did on that fiction? Was it filtered through Herkimer diamonds?
