I’m definitely building this! And as I watch the video, I can’t tell if I continue to watch it over and over for the cool build or for the cool song ha ha ha
Beautiful!!!! She looks great. I was just given a trailered 1963 Lone Star this past week-end believe it or not by a friend who discovered it under some tarps in a garage. From what we can tell by a few receipts in it, it has been there since around September of 1991. He bought the property to start a fabricating business and hates the water (unless it is a swimming pool) and was just gonna junk it, until in passing I said I would buy it for $100 and he said just take it (by a certain date). Well, we got it home and after one comical afternoon of doing some tricky moving, into our back yard. My sons and I cleaned out about 27 years worth of dirt, mouse and other small critter droppings and nesting debris and discovered that it looks like the previous owner was restoring it, but doing it in a weird way....cosmetic first then structural. Anyway, structurally she is as solid as the day she was built, except for the transom which needs to be fixed around the motor mounting plate (a crack), easy fix, and she is in desperate need of a new paint job. Our plan is to do a total refurb/restore and have her launched by next 4th of July week-end so we can watch the fireworks in Oswego, NY from in the water of Oswego Harbor, not on the lawn at Fort Ontario. Something me and my family has dreamed of doing since moving here 13 yrs ago. It's gonna take some work (and $$) but in the end, she is gonna be beautiful!!! Can I contact you (email) if I need technical help or advice?
Buddy you achieved exactly what I want to do to a late 50’s early 60’s style boat. I hope you still have it. I am curious to hear how it held up. I am going to do that except I am installing the reverse gate for the jet nozzle. I hope you respond thank you for sharing!
Cool boat, I did a 59 Texas Maid the same way. Run it up some rivers, they do it well. Even Jesus Christ stopped by to check it out but he didn't like the music!
@@KylieStephens Boat is doing great. It had two melted pistons when I got it and entire bilge was full of trapped water. Rebuilt the top end and put a drain in the bilge and used it all summer. The thing gets tons of looks!!
Super project. This is what I want to do as well. I wonder if an electric motor could be added so the jet drive could be used on no gas powered lakes. Thanks for sharing!
That's awesome.. now I want to convert my 57' magic glass vixen ..lol that looks like a great alternative to finding another power head for my 35 Evinrude big twin 35 ..
Hey I have a question I recently just redone a 19” boat haul with a mercruiser inboard so it’s rather heavy boat but to get to the point i foam the haul and when you but the new floor in you’re boat did you foam it? Only reason why I ask is I wanna do a build like what you did and just brain storming.
Know this is an old video, but I am getting ready to do this to my 85 15ft chaparral 162, not a classic like yours but it's my boat :) . Its been converted to an open fisherman. My transplant is a 98 Sea-Doo 720 motor, 85hp. Iwould like to know if you feel your boat is under powered in any way? Also do you feel like this would work better with trim adjustment on the impeller? How hard does it make to drive without the reverse capabilities? Any tips on mating the pwc fiberglass hull to the boat hull? Im thinking I can use some high density foam to fill gaps then some 1708 to tab in followed by some chop strand to smooth it out. Any tips would be really appreciated as most videos I see on this are aluminum hull boats, different animal. Awesome project and I can't wait to get started on mine. Do you still have this and run it?
Do you know where I can get a set of Lone Star emblems? There 2 on each side. One on the rear side hull and one on the upper side of the cabin. Thank you
Great build, but I think it sounds like it needs a impeller with more pitch. Need to see a video with more people in the boat to be able to say that for sure though..
Wow very good job, can you talk me more about the your windshield? I have a fiberglass 1967 boat and the windshield is Brocken. Help me I want build one too. Thank you.
Please consider a redo on your video, with a tour of the boat plus describing the restoration and driveline conversion and, yeah, ditch the music. Its a great boat though! I am looking at a similar Lone Star, but with an outboard setup.
is that an arkansas traveler boat ?? i have one of them ...had a 35 merc on it siezed up in shediac with the tide going out ..watch my brother float away with the tide ..they were closer to prince edward island then shediac when coast guard found them and towed them home...father said well you can have the boat if you still like it if you promise never to put it in an ocean ..i was 5
those are actually suzuki engines, there was a factory tuned pipe that bumped it to 72 hp, and boyeson makes power reeds for it. I had a 1995 tigershark monte carlo a few years ago.
I have a 750 cc Kawasaki that I never plan to ride. A man owed me some $$$ so he gave me this thing. I wouldn't have thought it would have moved that boat so quickly. How bad or how much fuel does it burn?
tiger shark thats really funny. I rode one a couple times slow as hell. bought a Sea Doo much better great project though a few build hours I bet..good work...
I struggle to comprehend how someone with such great creativity and fabrication skills can simultaneously have the worst taste in music haha...gotta rib you a bit for it. Great build though!
music is sickeningly hideous,, boat is awesome,!
Love the boat! Hate the music😒
I had to mute it until he took it out on the water.
Ditto
Was going to stop but now that I know I'll mute until in the water. Thanks
The older fiberglass boats are light enough for a jet motor to push. This was very well done. Damn cool! Makes more sense than a jet ski too!
Sweet build. Hate the music!
I’m definitely building this! And as I watch the video, I can’t tell if I continue to watch it over and over for the cool build or for the cool song ha ha ha
God dam the sound track. Nice to see an old boat fixed up and back on the water.
Cool boat, annoying "music."
Awesome job on the windshield frame. I love this build, looks and performance.
Thst is a sweet little boat. Well put together and a beautiful finish work. I loved how you made the engine cover from the jet ski body. Good job.
I just picked up a 1978 Aristocraft. After watching this video gives me a different idea for the boat restoration.
Looks like a hell of a lot of fun! Boat looks great too, nice restoration. Bet you get plenty of offers on it!
Very cool and very cleaver. Taking crap and turning it into working art. Nice job. I like the music. Lol...
Cool build man. My grandkids dance to the music lol
At least someone enjoyed the music bawhahahaha
People and their damn music
My Damn Channel yep. That's about the worst I've ever heard!
Nice job, that looks like a blast.
I am going to attempt the same, Dad has an old boat on his property, and I picked up a broken Jet ski for $100. Awesome idea.

Great job on the boat!
Nice boat! Funny, music interesting but didn't rub me wrong. Far better than most choices....
Nice job,that thing is sweet!
Nice build, that is way cooler than a brand new cookie cutter boat that everyone has.
Buddy you achieved exactly what I want to do to a late 50’s early 60’s style boat. I hope you still have it. I am curious to hear how it held up. I am going to do that except I am installing the reverse gate for the jet nozzle. I hope you respond thank you for sharing!
I too am building and run in to the reverse problem as well? How did you work yours out?
I need some schooling from you...i want to build one myself...great job
The music was awesome 👍, loved the boat.
came to the comments to see old people complain about the music, 10/10 not disappointed
Hi thinking of doing the same thing to a 13" dory how is the fule consumption
Wow that's cool. Great idea. (The music was fine too)
sweet build i got an old boat like that it ould have been awsome to do someting like that whit it
tbat boat is so freakin cool!!!! sounds like a jet ski so it confuses everyone looking for a jet ski haha
Bad music. Great project
Awesome project man
Cool boat, I did a 59 Texas Maid the same way. Run it up some rivers, they do it well. Even Jesus Christ stopped by to check it out but he didn't like the music!
What a dumb thing to say man. Find something else to mock other than a man that sacrificed his life for your sins. Idiot
that is awsome !!! i think im going to try that..
I own this boat now. Frank, hit me up if you see this
hey this is his daughter! frank said hows the boat doing lol
@@KylieStephens Boat is doing great. It had two melted pistons when I got it and entire bilge was full of trapped water. Rebuilt the top end and put a drain in the bilge and used it all summer. The thing gets tons of looks!!
had to hit mute but loved the video, I am doing same thing to a 1957 red fish
loved the boat and the music.
Super project. This is what I want to do as well. I wonder if an electric motor could be added so the jet drive could be used on no gas powered lakes.
Thanks for sharing!
Now you gotta hit the jet boat meet up's
Look like TOO MUCH FUN . Nice job
That's awesome.. now I want to convert my 57' magic glass vixen ..lol that looks like a great alternative to finding another power head for my 35 Evinrude big twin 35 ..
Music- what music? - I thought it was powertools

Semi-legal unsafe steering linkage. Any way to adjust the thrust angle, the boat is plowing?
Nice boat but I call BS on the $500 cost claim. I'll bet there is far more than $500 in resin and paint sitting there.

I don't know what everybody's talking about... I started dancing by myself in the living room, didn't even care about your boat video anymore.😆
Bahahaha now that's the spirit bro....fuck the awesome boat vid, i just wanna jam to the "kill myself" music" That's my boi!
That's awesome work.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16
Nice music, but what about the boat? How fast easyt?
Damn I've got a 64 lone star I want to do that to do you have video of the build
Do you know where I can get a set of Lone Star emblems? There 2 on each side. One on the rear side hull and one on the upper side of the cabin. Thank you
Beautiful job..!!!!
This sound must have been dedicated to someone's grandma
BTW, Chrysler Marine bought Lone Star - all those 60's/70's Chrysler boats were built in the Lone Star factory.
She's tear adding around happy to be alive
Awesome boat!!!

I have the same problem with a 1969 fiberglass boat were you able to find a solution?
So great when a boat had a soul and a relation ship with her owener
That was awesome.
Hi do you still have the boat
Please consider a redo on your video, with a tour of the boat plus describing the restoration and driveline conversion and, yeah, ditch the music. Its a great boat though! I am looking at a similar Lone Star, but with an outboard setup.

I love your boat! What is top speed. I'm 69 years old and I love the music too.Awesome.!!!!
so how many horsepower is that engine?
George Rivers 65 hp
What is it worth?
Ive seen lone star but its my first loan star
Absolutely amazing.
But why not use a rotax?
those are actually suzuki engines, there was a factory tuned pipe that bumped it to 72 hp, and boyeson makes power reeds for it. I had a 1995 tigershark monte carlo a few years ago.
Cool I think I'll build one !
My god what a great job
I have a 750 cc Kawasaki that I never plan to ride. A man owed me some $$$ so he gave me this thing. I wouldn't have thought it would have moved that boat so quickly. How bad or how much fuel does it burn?
Phil Lowman it doesn't burn that much fuel, cruising at 25 miles an hour for 20 miles it will burn 5 gallons of gas.
Frank Stephens what are the motor dimensions? I have a 15' boat from the 50s and I wanna do this to it also
I LOVVVVE THE MUSIC🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice reproduction, hope that song never gets reproduced.
"loan star " LOL! LONE STAR!
Sorry, but I had to turn the music down just to watch it... Nice job!
Well done
boats cool but had to turn the sound off that song it wasn't even funny it was horrible
Yep, I hit mute immediately; don't need that crap.
you should put a jetski running gear in a Mac 360 then you will have a winner
Pretty boat
What is that noise? A real source of Earritation
Powered by a Suzuki 640 engine from a Tigershark PWC, 72hp.
Love the music 🤓 Nice work on the boat too C L E A N !
I'm looking at doing something similar. but I want to do it where I can detach my jetski
Loved everything except the song lol
Nice toy.
Very Cool....
$300 on parts and labor? What was the cost of the paint, windshield, fittings, upholster?
I do like your boat. Very nice restoration.
Best part was when the music stopped.
Awful choice of background music.
Nice
tiger shark thats really funny. I rode one a couple times slow as hell. bought a Sea Doo much better great project though a few build hours I bet..good work...
i have a 57 Lone Star i want to do the exact same thing to !!
The fox says your trailer needs bigger wheels.
Bravo x 1000
Great vid if u put it on mute! Wtf
Bahahaha
I struggle to comprehend how someone with such great creativity and fabrication skills can simultaneously have the worst taste in music haha...gotta rib you a bit for it. Great build though!
Great build but what the hell is that music? Horrible! Love the steering cable adapter! That little sucker can get up and MOVE!
Very cool, I am looking to do something similar, and btw I love the music.
