First, I hope you are back working. This has been rough for so many people. I used to build custom bolt guns and about ten years ago I just got burned out on making them. So I decided while my eyes still could focus on iron sights I would give the 17th century a try. So, other than buying Colerain barrels and the locks from Muzzle Loaders Building supply, i do the rest by hand. So, basically I build my flintlocks from scratch and as you mention it takes time. But I hunt with my guns and spend a lot of time working up various loads. I wish you well on your kits and also keep up the videos. You might look at a Jim Kibler kit... or take a look at Muzzle Loaders Builder supply website, both are fantastic people and you can really put your kills to the test.
that looks great! Any vids of it firing at the range?
The lock doesn't work.
Beautiful piece! Which stain did you use to finish the gun stock?
MinWax dark walnut.
I just bought the rifled kit, hopefully it will be here later this week
How’d it go?
@@chesterpanda I posted a video of me firing it
How does it fire? I heard some people said they were having a bit of trouble with their lock.
Yes, the lock is inconsistent. Traditions is not a good as Armi Sport use to be.

Thanks! But I'm done with kits! This one killed me. Kibler's are great and I've watched his video's. I just have all the rifles/muskets he offers.
I understand. I gunsmith as a hobby and building these old guns are a lot of fun. As long as you have the time.
Good luck and good shooting/hunting!
