    Thank you for the honest review. I'm just about to start riding. Would you consider this to be a good choice for a beginner?

      Hi Bo, I don't see why not. It's a great helmet for the price.

      Views from the Man Cave THanks for the quick response. As I'm completely unexperienced I wasn't sure if the way the visor is attached might be cumbersome while you're riding if you might need to move it quickly (e.g. adjusting glasses, itching nose etc) although I have no idea how often you actually need to do this.

      +Bo Ismono Ah I see what you mean, shouldn't pose a problem. It more effort than a standard style visor, but I often use mine without the visor attached and wear sunglasses..

      Views from the Man Cave Thank you very much. That helps alot. I prefer to buy good quality and something that I like before spending money twice. Due to this helmet's simplicity I was just "intimidated" by the lack of features that a beginner might need.
      I will try it out in a store then. Thanks for your help!

    Beautiful looking helmet! Came here from my motolegends magazine. Some shots of you wearing it in action would've been nice! Cool vid though!

    Great review. Comprehensive, honest, good and bad aspects. Noise always a factor for me, but obviously depends on so many factors. More crucial is the comfort with glasses. I love the Motordrome colours in the R model, but the aperture may be a bid small and the visor mounts may be noisy?

    Hey hey, awesome review! I've got this helmet but I have a question. Do you known if the Aviator T2 goggles fit in the narrow viewer space? Also, how to the bubble shields fit? I'm assuming they fit well enough onto the snaps but does the chin cover of the helmet get in the way of the shield coming down completely? Thanks in advance!!

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Pamela, thanks! I've just been out to try, and the aviator T2 goggles fit perfectly (and look great). Unfortunately it seems Nexx have spaced their press studs quite wide, I have a Biltwell bubble visor and the snaps don't line up :( So it looks like until Nexx bring out their own, a bubble shield isnt an option....

      Awe, that's a real bummer. Thanks for the quick reply though and I'll be looking into purchasing a pair of those T2's! Thanks again!!

    Hi. could you help me to choose the right size? my head measures 55 cm that actually correspond the Small size. but when I bought the Bell Scrambler helmet I had to go with the Medium size because the Small didn't fit me. I really want this helmet but need to buy online. Thanks in advance.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Javo, it's obviously tricky without knowing your head shape and obviously it's always better to try....but I'm my experience with this helmet I would say you don't have to size up. 55cm is at the lower end of the sizing for a small in the Nexx chart so 'should' be ok. The shell size is the same throughout the range. Hope that helps

    I bought the same Helmet a week ago as my first Helmet for driving lessons. Have you tried it riding yet?

      SvenJunior Yes have been riding in it for a while. Comfy and suprisingly quiet

    Top Review! So if you'd only buy one, xg or bullitt? (Thinking I may need a 'retro' to go with my new xsr :-) )

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oooh tough call. There are pros and cons with both. If I had to live with just one, I'd probably pick the Bullitt, but it would be marginal!

      @I_am_Thursday 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, I tend to agree. I even ( can't believe I'm saying this ) quite like the look of goggles with it...But that may be a step too far!

    Hello there, speaking of visibility, would you say that the stock lens are comfortable by using at night? Thanks

    What's your opinion on the sound level inside the helmet? does it get quieter when you put the the visor on?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gustav Persson Hi, it's a very well insulated and quiet helmet, and yes with the visor on it makes a little bit of difference

    Cheers mate, any idea if this helmet will take a snap on Bubble Visor?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I would need to go and check, but i'm pretty sure that annoyingly the poppers are not in a standard location. My biltwell bubble shield didnt fit. Thats not to say there isnt something on the market that will?

    • @thevelointhevale1132
      @thevelointhevale1132 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be great if this were clarified at some point - I know there are many people like me looking for a decent full face retro helmet that can take a snap on Bubble Visor - and yet almost nobody seems to do it where the compliance ratings match that helmet. DOT is not valid in Australia nor Europe from memory so we are incredibly limited in our choices ... almost held to ransom by the Brands. How hard would it be to have one full face retro helmet that allows snap on Bubble Visors? Anyone listening out there???

    Hey Tony, Is the chin tight? I bought the Gingo, but my chin was rubbing against it.
    Thanks

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not at all, plenty of room in the Nexx....I had the same problem with the gringo

    • @OleOriginals
      @OleOriginals 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cool, Thx mate. Do you prefer it over the Gingo? Seems better quality... How do you compare it to the Bell? That one is a bit tight over the chin too.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +chandler herbut personally, it's a much nicer helmet than the Gringo. The Gringo is only DOT certified so not actually road legal here in the UK. The Bell has a wider field of vision, but I find it noisier than the Nexx.

    Hi there, now with the NEXX R out which do you prefer? I'm debating between the two. Thx

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The R has a much more convenient and practical visor system. However there are other helmets i'd probably choose now, based largely on the fit and vision.

      @@mancavemoto Last question, now that you have the Biltwell Lanesplitter (thanks BTW, I bought it following your review) in terms of sizing how does the NEXX compare. I have a XXL in the Lanesplitter and tried on a Gringo and can go with an XL in it. I'm concerned the NEXX runs too small. Thx.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sqd8r I would say it’s pretty much standard for its size. Initially I thought it was a little bigger, but more accurately probably a bit ‘rounder’
