I've been troubleshooting for a few hours, did anyone figure out how to fix this? Just happened to me today. Monitor is out of warranty. Dell offered to extend the warranty for $60 Canadian to fix the issue.... The camera thinks it is open when closed, and closed when open. I found a quick fix.... I closed the camera and slowly opened it up just until the point where it is going to close and used some electrical tape to keep it in place. That will have to do for now :( Loved this monitor, now completing disappointed with Dell.

Have same problem, suspect its a toggle switch inside that has got confused. Anyone take their apart?
I have the same issue with my Dell S2722DZ integrated webcam. When the camera lift up from the monitor the system does not show it in Device manager
