I just love the detail in this video! The sound of the cicadas, so tranquil. Remind me of summers past when I was a child. Thank You!

What a wonderful tour! and tour guide! I visited this place in 1980 when I was very young. I became an archaeologist in part because of Hadrian's Villa. I hope to make it back some day.

So jealous 😮 thank you so much for sharing this. Yet another awesome place to go see, at this point I’m going to need like 3 months in Italy just to see a quarter of what I want to. It’s so cool you can just walk around this place. My mind is full of images of what it must of been like. Totally geeking out right now 😊

Could you please explain how the guide and the two individuals had the entire Villa to themselves? Very curious.

If you have a very creative imagination you will "maybe" be able to comprehend the buty of that place ! I have seen and know people who have no limits on there imagination and the money to pay for it and there own home can't hold a candel to the buty and caricature to that 2000 + year old home ! The world is so increditably lucky to see what it was a long time ago ...

Ought to get a grant from the Italian government to replace all that marble that was stripped off the walls!

Imagine a world without plastics, a world without fake imitation wood, without synthetic petroleum derived clothing. Did we evolve or regress ?

If you could go back to those days using some kind of a time machine I bet you would be asking to go back to this time after 24 hours. Or some disease would get you or they would enslave you for being such a dumbarse.
Keep using oil-produced electricity and a device made with plastics to write nonsense.
BTW...Do you use candles to light your home, wood to heat water, slaves with fans to cool you? The problem is that you are not an emperor.

But they imitated marble often, for example.
