Mk3 supra, the middle child Toyota. I personally love the look of it and don't really understand why it doesn't get much attention even for Toyota fans
I just so happened to see an RX7 AND a Supra yesterday. Amazing how the designers were able to make two cars that would still have such great exterieor appeal 25 years later. #Legends
That rx7 is goals; perfect setup. It has just the right amount of power and all the right mods. The NSX sounds, and looks, amazing. I love that taitec kit.
@@AlienNinjaPuppy If you premix your engine correctly, and do your scheduled oil changes, itll last forever. I know people with RX7s going on 200k miles on stock motors still running strong.
All three of these cars were ahead of their times in their own ways.. NSX showing that a super sports car can actually be a usable means of reliable transportation. RX7 showing it's sexy futuristic design and quirky powertrain with near perfect handling balance. And the Supra, also boasting a futuristic design that still looks great today (compare a '93 supra to a '93 911 or Corvette! LOL!!!), truly showed the future of POWER! These days, 7, 8, 900 hp is more commonplace. But back in the late 90's when people where easily and reliably squeezing 1000 HP out of Supras, years before the Veyron, it seemed amazing!
The glorious trio! This is gonna be good! You can't lose with either one you choose, they're all brilliant, From the Sleek Supra to the Dancing Dorito and the Magnificent Midship! *queue the Running in the 90s*
Man I loved this video. The guy driving and talking was gr8. He knew how to drive he kept 2 HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL! Which is rare to see someone with knowledge of the cars and driving experience. The 2 for some reason rarely come together. I bet he knows how to heel toe down shift also. Great job and great video.
Excellent video. Loved the “shrink-wrapped torpedo” comment. I’ve been on the fence about selling my FD after 20 years of ownership, but hearing that line makes me want to hold onto it! Your absolutely right, these cars could not exist today and it’s just an amazing story how we got all 3 plus the Z32 and GTO VR4 back in the early 90s with the design of some going back as early as 1984.
Exceptionally done. While I thoroughly enjoyed the trio review, the momentary glance of your Sebring Silver NSX at 11:02 evoked fond memories and harkened back to the timeless precision timepiece that it is.
My dad had a twin turbo z32 and my uncle had an mk3 supra turbo in 1994. These are what pulled me into the tuning scene back then. You should do them next.
I live in California and went to a car show in Danville about a year ago and when I saw the Supra I thought "hey that looks familiar" so I pull out my phone as I go back to inspect the Supra in the video some more and turns out it was the same one. Moe you're probably not reading this, but I fisted your exhaust at the show
Review a 300ZX please! Having driven both, it's arguably a better driving experience than the R32. Would be curious to hear your driving impressions. Its design as a dedicated sports car rather than a sedan with an AWD drivetrain grafted in shows.
Awesome work on this video! You went all out on this one and it shows. I love the way the NSX sounds, but I think I’d take the FD based on looks and weight. All 3 are pretty amazing though!
This is a big step up in the choreography and the right balance between narration, commentary and camera angles. Well done, excellent work. Please keep doing more like this.
Wish you had tested the original cars, these heavily modified are not that great of a basis for objective opinion. Still, its interesting, always entertaining to see someone review these automotive icons. And another vote for the 300zx TT here, hope you get one to review. My friend had it for a few years, targa, semi-big wing (just right), black. Man, I LOVED that car,one of the best designs ever.
Ah... swoon... Those are the 3 cars that are still on the list to review and experience one day. I've done a RX8, done a R35, but the true legend cars, these? They are like unicorns. Thank you for sharing. And I bet for you the NSX had to be the most fun to drive on that corner road. I am more of a straight line guy myself, so the preference shifts to the Supra for me.
Well I disagree, they cost damn near the same to mod as they do to buy, I'm building my 97 anniversary edition right now and costing me a fortune, any supra specific part that you can't source from a different vehicle is 5 times the price with supra tax, easy to make big power with but psychotically expensive
Greg Holloway Hahaha, Supra tax. Never heard that before, but it makes sense. Bleeding you dry basically. But I'm gonna assume you're doing a full build if that kind of money is going into it. Light to medium mods shouldn't break you.
Tyler Durden nit really a full build, my car is also an Na auto which cost me about an extra 10g to convert, but it would still be about 20g to make 800whp out of a tt 6 speed, a clutch for a v160 is near 4 grand Canadian, they are cheap to get 500 crank hp out of with the stock twins, but beyond that number converting to single turbo will break the bank, my car will be a completely stock bottom end, cams and springs only in the motor
Greg Holloway That sounds about right. Man, buying a turbo Supra in decent condition is gonna cost ya. But if you throw about 10k worth of parts at one it'll be pretty damn quick. One of those 1000hp monsters will cost A LOT though. I just can't get past the admission price for one of them. The resale value has gone through the roof. Can't do it. I'd sooner buy a low mileage 300zx turbo for half the cost. Which I'm seriously considering. Good on you for building yours though.
Awesome video man! When I saw those three cars on thumbnail and then saw your, I got so hyped!! I love how all three are so good in different ways (although a lot overlap) and can be enjoyed to it’s full potential to the right driver/appreciator.
a all motor stroker kit video would be nice to watch. a 370z with a stroker kit, s2000 with the itb's. that would be a epic showdown between those 2 cars with those mods.
Absolutely superb video mate. The filming, the info and the presentation...all top notch. And what a fantastic bunch of cars. Really enjoyed watching this, thanks!
Super clean FD! All he oughtta do now is get a '99 spec bumper, drop in an EFR 7670, add an AEM water injection kit, and tune for 300+ wheel. Then it would be perfect! Heheheh
Missing the r32. Me personally I think that these four cars the nsx, rx7, the Supra and the r32 were the main reason why we have our cars of today. They proved that you can be fast with low hp and good handling. While the rest of the world just produced massive amounts of power
Zygrene when I️ think of German car legends, I️ immediately think of the Porsche 911, the BMW M3 and the VW GTI. With all the different generations of these cars there are attainable examples of each to be found.
Good job, but... Would you all seriously do you research on handling and breaking of the Supra. It could hang with both other cars, and be tuned to continue to. While some feel and handle a LITTLE sharper, the Supra was not and is not a straight line car. It's just that it's so stupid easy to over power, that's why it's talked about as such today. It's much easier to handle a car going half the speed. Thanks for the video, great production.
jon doe Ask yourself these questions my friend. An LS in an RX7? What kind of person are you? What's the point of having an RX7 if there aren't any doritos?
Sorry mate not a fan of this. It's a comparison about 90's JDM legends and how they compare to each other, but they're all modified. How can you accurately compare them when they're modified? It's a completely different experience to what they were back then.
Gr8 video bro! I share your passion for these 3. I used to own a 97 NSX-T (before my lengthy incarceration). It's still a beautiful car in these times. Always wanted a Supra Turbo!
“The Supra was never designed to be a sports car or a handler???? BULLSHIT. Toyota sold and marketed the Supra as a sport car. It was beating Ferrari, corvette and mustangs of the time. I️m so sick of hearing the Supra is for straight line speed... it was also NOT made famous by fast and the furious. I️ kno guys that have supras and not one brought it because of fast and the furious The Supra is also a great handling car it was one of the best handling and stopping cars on the road when it came out. It had the best stopping for a production car and held that record for years.
Toyota4Life Actually bro, the Supra wasn’t marketed as a sports car but as a grand tourer. And while the tests show that it had the shortest braking distance compared to that of an RX-7 FD or other performance cars of its time, it was also one of the slowest. I’m not one to to judge handling but considering it’s quite beefy and the fact that it has a front-heavy weight distribution its handling is not exactly ideal. A huge part of the reason people have come to love and appreciate the Supra so much is because of its partner in crime, the 2JZ, as it has gained a reputation not as an amazing car to race stock, but a car that can smoke everyone if the owner who modified it knows what he was doing. The Supra’s 2JZ’s extreme indestructibility under heavy modifications made it what makes the Supra so popular among other things. Praise the Supra not only for its stock capabilities, but for the fact that it brought both modifiability and reliability into one car.
Love this review. Frankly, as much as I love the FD, I have an FC (non-turbo). Wish I had that Turbo II. Cannot complain due to the fact it handles like a dream. I can use some better suspension setup in the future. I would love for you to do an review on my FC one day. Keep on pushing videos like these. Very motivating!!!
The 300zxTT would be nice and also, the MK4 Supra turbo is "NOT" a straight line only speed freak. Contrary to popular belief, it handles corners very well, if not on par with the RX-7. People in the US tend to make them into straight line speed freaks.
Great video. Watching this in Guyana South America. Massive cult following here since almost any machine can be, and is imported. Proud owner of a sw20 MR2 Turbo!
My dad worked for Honda and was on the NSX engineering team. Honda let him drive one around for a month when they first came out. And my dad picked me up from football practice a few times in it. I got so much puss my freshman year. lol
Man you are also missing one of the best with the most technology, power and looks of all of them the Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4. Aside from being AWD twin turbo it has 4 wheel steering, eletronic adjustable suspension, active aerodynamics and more, for a car in the 90s that was way ahead of it's time, the thing is just amazing to stand next to in real life.
That “hollow sound of the V6 used in the NSX sound VERY similar to the flat 6 in the latest air cooled Porsche’s like 964 RS that has been decated. Love the NSX but something about the RX-7 always calls my name. Great video!
killerstoner true, true. If we are talking 90s than you are right. A turbo GC8 would have been dope too but I am biased because I have one (sans turbo).
I wanted to bitch about the fact that you compared modified cars, which is essentially pointless. But these cars are so cool that I just want to thank you for posting this vid and giving me 12 minutes of pure enjoyment.
Mate you are so lucky to experience these unreal cars . These are the cars that got me into cars. Rx7 still in my top 10 best ever . Shame they messed up the rx8 .
I do believe they are the reason for some car enthusiasts but like for people like me personally I think more of German car when I think what got me into being a car enthusiast
Those were not considered exotic at the time, as they are not today. Despite being very good at what they do, the cars that were on par with those I've stated, and the ones is the videos are more like top of the line coupes. No ofense intended to lovers of those machines (STI / EVO's), but their category os more of 'Specially fast disguised sedans that will rock your world'. Cheers
Pedro Pinheiro The 300ZX and 3000GT were definitely icons, but the three in the vid along with the Skyline were certainly in a league of their own. True legends.
Finalbossman0 Don't really know what was wrong with the 3000GT and the 300ZX, but they didn't achieve the status of the other 'rising sun' beasts. A shame really, I like them a lot.
Probably your best video yet, but just having these three together makes that obvious. Very hard to say which is most desirable. And why tease that AE86 at the end haha

I’ve always had yellow fever growing up these 3 and pretty much the reason
Mate you are so lucky to experience these unreal cars . These are the cars that got me into cars. Rx7 still in my top 10 best ever . Shame they messed up the rx8 .
300zx Z32 was the first Japanese supercar released in America that started that wave of 90s Japanese sports cars
Running in the 90’s❗️
The best JDM cars were built around the 90’s 🔰
The last emotion on this guy's face is excitement
The beep at 7:36 scared me thought my UPS was failing or something.
This is the dream for any jdm fan
I do believe they are the reason for some car enthusiasts but like for people like me personally I think more of German car when I think what got me into being a car enthusiast
Do this again and add s14 or s15 pls
That last shot reminded me of Initial D. Thanks for sharing your experience! Are you going to U/L more in-car comparisons of the three?
Damn the FD looks so fuckn sweet, aged so freakn well. It's like if an nsx and a mx5 had a baby. So da beautiful
The ones not in the list, that should be...
Nissan 300ZX
Mitsubishi 3000GT
Nissan Skyline R32/33
Love the NSX
Pedro Pinheiro .. and tack on the STI , and at least an EVO VIII for good measure
Pedro Pinheiro .. exotic indeed! .. thanks
Probably your best video yet, but just having these three together makes that obvious. Very hard to say which is most desirable. And why tease that AE86 at the end haha
Excellent and well executed video. The 3 best attainable cars every enthusiast should own at some point.
1jiveturkey1 no because they wouldnt be so valuable if every enthusiast had them
I had 2/3 of them. Miss them.
An nsx goes for £60000 here in the uk so about $85000 definitely not attainable
Don't forget the R32, STI AND EVO
I loved this video!! Omg all dream jdm cars! Im more about the supra and nsx though
Missing the 300zx twin turbo, Mitsubishi 3000 VR- 4, and the Skyline GT-R . But this is the best dream ever.
Incredible video! Nostalgia overload
Feels a bit like an overview video rather than a more personal one.
I think you can do both, your more personal sentiments are of more valuable than you think.
Where is the tt300zx? Is that not considered a legend anymore.
Cool comparison man. Outside of Best Motoring there really aren't comparisons with these cars out there.
“Aron Senna” :( great video though, really enjoyed it!
