    Extra loading screen for putting your vendor in a shelter. I'll pass no matter what you're selling.

      Yeah noob here and I jump from vendors to vendors. Put vendors outside and make it obvious to see. I don't wanna run thru your house looking for vendor. If I gotta do that, I'll just pass.

      For me, that depends on the system I'm currently on. On my PC the load screen is so short that it's irrelevant. But when I'm on my PS4, every extra load screen is a burden.

    Not placing turrets us actually a dumb idea. Nothing says no vender like getting chomped in while shopping. Nah customers always get protected. No decoration? Why even build? You say crafting stations arent needed, but then say farms are recommended...then at the end you say crafting stations are needed. What even is this video??

    You should have fair or cheap vendor prices, mess with the clowns who say ‘check the third party site for prices’ nah it’s a free market, I’m moving stuff and you are taking up stash space

    1. Agreed, Turrets and Traps stink and use a huge amount of budget. Now I think your camps should look good. Not a ton of stuff just stuck out in the circle (you hear me, Angry Turtle LoL), but unless part of the decor of a garage or etc., workstations, I would put in a shelter (the small free one from quest is grear for this). Because you rare craft and stuff at base, maybe to do repairs, if I'm doing legendarys, I do it right at Purveyor's because I can buy modules, scribes, and crafts there. Plus, if you're in a shelter or Purveyor's, nothing can attack you. ... Also, if you wish to have more sales, do not hide your vending machine. Put it close to where players teleport in, which is generally to the north side of the camp, pretty much in line with the camp module. Moving the camp module will adjust where players land. The owner will land east of the players landing spot. and Never put your only vendor in the shelter; extras are fine. I like one in my shelter to set prices while others can access the one outside. Also, it is best to have multiple vendors; it stinks to have to wait for the other guy to look at goods. I had AFK people stand there forever, so I left, where I could have purchase an item. ... Things that are good to have at Camp First are a ALLY; they will help defend the camp, and some can give quests that result in legendarys, or some can even buff you. As well, sleeping with an Ally in camp gives a long XP boost. I like to have the Ammo, Scrap, and Player storage boxes for quick drop-offs, as well as the buff items you prefer or resource collectors. If you don't need the resources, don't lock them. Let newbies and people who need them grab the extra. If you have the Raider rep, the AMMO Machine is awesome, free Ammo, as well as the different Collectrons that can collect junk, presents, cokes, etc. There are also many food and drink things you can put out that give food buffs, and most want to rot like cooked foods. I do love Fusion Core Charger ... FARMS are great, but you have to put them away from access of Attackers; if they are destroyed, you have to collect more of the same to repair them, which brings you to Turbo Fertilizer (sold at Foundation). Its grenades make plants instantly grow, so smaller farms produce twice as much. Which brings you to storing foods that rot, the Cryofreeze cooler, stops all food/Drink in it from rotting (*NOTE: you need this in EVERY CAMP; if you log in a camp without it, the food goes to normal storage and will start rotting; it has to have a cryofreezer to be in). Refrigerator SLOWS rot but will NOT stop it like Cryo, You can have both but store food and etc in the cryo. ... Easy money is to get a base near a vendor and have as many water collectors as you can to sell to the vendor. *NOTE: If you cap out a vendor, meaning he has no money to give to you, GO buy expensive plans, giving the vendor money again, and then you can sell to them again! In White Spings, the serium plans are very expensive; I own them all with this strategy. ... I'm not a fan of the AMMO converter. I maxed it out long ago; it wasn't worth it. It's better to just sell ammo you don't use, or, if Fallout first member stick it in your ammo box. the ammo Convetors rate of exchange SUCKS!

      It's only available from Mortimer at the Crater. It costs gold bullion, and gets unlocked, I think, when you complete the "giving out candy" challenge as part of the Spooky Scorched event.
      It's seriously not essential, though. It's a QoL thing, more than anything.

    I don't agree with the organization, but overall a good list.
    I would keep at least one vendor outside for people to use. I'm also pretty sure the vendor symbol only shows on your CAMP icon if it's in your CAMP, not your shelters, so you're costing yourself a lot of traffic.
    I also recommend taking advantage of the fact that you can place all ypur crafting benches and SPECIAL boosters in your shelters. This frees up some of your precious budget by not needing them all at every CAMP. This method will free you up to only have the ones that suit your build, tho I try to make sure I have at least one for scrapping and boxes for dumping in every build.

      dont waste your stuff on the ammo converter, im also new, close to level 200 and i got myself the converter and its not worth, even if you are converting smething easy to get like spikes its not worth. i found myself making a bloodied stealth commando is the best way to not waste ammo, get yourself a few legendary perk cards,level the the "ammo factory" card once and use a deticated crafting card deck for making ammo! super duper helps out alot but tbh nothing really beats an super effiecient stealth build. you can also run some daylie ops(urgh) or any event tbh, or you do look up some ammo farming routes but dont waste your resources/ammo at the converter. i started with a silenced handmade rifle on a stealth commando and im swimming in ammo.

      What platform do you play on?

    • @dylanwight5764
      @dylanwight5764 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The right perks will help you immensely. Just keep in mind that the old Ma Deuce can be expensive to run.
      With that in mind, you _absolutely must have_ Ammosmith (Agility) and Super Duper (Luck) maxed on your crafting SPECIAL loadout. The Ammo Factory legendary perk is also worth aiming towards, although you ought to focus on the SPECIAL legendary perks most relevant to your build first.
      If you have all three SPECIAL loadouts unlocked, I strongly recommend developing builds for "Settler" (pure crafting and trading for when you're plying your goods and services in the marketplace of ideas) "Scavver" (general gameplay, focus on carry weight and stealth) and "Raider" (bossing or eventing, typically a Power Armour build forgoing the luxuries of a general build in favour of completely min-maxing your approach to combat)

      @@darthlaker277 thats why i went bloodied pretty early tbh, especially a crit vats stealth commanod build is sooo insanely strong it would be stupid to not use it and its insanely cheap to get going, silent weapon fulls et of any unyielding and you are good to go, get some mutations either from random self rad infliction or serums(serums are "only" around 500 caps) and you will have insanely good stats and most important for me was it helps me out farming levels since you have around 30+ int and with a fixer or even a silenced handmade you will not struggle with ammo! i used my handmade since for what ever reason i get way more 5.56 ammo and it kills pretty quick aswell. if you craft ammo yourself atleast have all the crafting cards and the legendary ammo factory so you get the most out of it but i dont craft ammo myself for the last 150 levels tbh

  • @peterclarke7240

    I disagree with the items on the "essentials" list, and feel that we tend to over-think what we actually need.
    You don't need crafting stations or even a stash box at your camp. They're a convenience, nothing more, because the map is designed to give you access to locations with them very early doors. The responders camp at the lumber yard just south of Vault 76 has all of the crafting benches and a stash box, for example, and once you unlock Whitesprings you have near instant access to everything, including vendors, at a free fast travel point.
    The ONLY things I personally consider essential, particularly in the early to mid game, are crops to make adhesive, water purifiers, and the radstag field dressing station (for the food and carry weight buff) you can get from Mortimer. I also personally use the coffee and Company tea machines daily, but they're more build-dependent.
    A bed to get the well-rested buff is useful, but not essential, as is a musical instrument for the well-tuned buff and a camp ally who gives you a buff you want. Basically, anything after that is completely based on the convenience of having things in one location, or for quality-of-life improvements, or purely for aesthetic purposes.
    Heck, I decided to do a playthrough with just a tent and bed, once, and did not struggle at all, because you can make so many pre-existing locations your base of operations without ever needing to go to your camp.
    Basically, for all the new players: don't sweat it. Explore the map. The forest region particularly has literally everything you need in a small, easily walkable and relatively safe area.

      @PeterPanbe 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am a new player and don’t agree with the original video. Everything “not essential” is actually what makes me play the game to chase the plans. I don’t understand him at all.
