Museum level indeed! That build is on another level, for sure. Showing my age here, but I remember the Missouri Air National Guard flying their F-100s into Lambert Airport in St. Louis. So this one’s a bit nostalgic, and I’ll be following your refit.
You and the owner are doing a very rewarding task here. That model has earned a complete refit of with modern equipment. I like your thoughts about calling this a 'museum refit model'. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Best, Steve
Interesting to see what still worked and what was DOA. Good sales testimonial to the stuff that still works. I’ve had good luck withJR matchboxes but I’ve had a half dozen of their servos die in %35 size planes.
This one's gonna be Hoot. Going to be mission to see how all the new gears gonna fit 😮😅Man there's some gear in there and how did they sequence it all to fit. Quite impressive really how they got it all in. 😅😂 Looking forward to number 2. Crack in chap😅😮😂❤
Hi Jon, beautiful aircraft and project ! Brand new equipment ok but what do you think about the structural strenght of these old fuselage and wings when it will pull G's after so long time ? Thanks, David from Belgium.
You may be a _little_ optimistic on your weight loss program for this model. Okay, you're saving 2.5 lbs on the turbine alone. Probably another pound with a different pipe and heat shield in the tail. I think the air tanks will be a wash since you spoke of adding a compressor. The radio(s)/servo systems, you may get a 1/2 to 3/4 pound of savings on. Batteries are overall lighter, but there will be a higher DRAW on them with the compressor alone so that may be a net loss as far as shaving weight since you'll need more Ah capacity. . My guesstimate for a final dry weight is 38.75 lbs.

Hello. So how is the AH-64 builder progressing? Is this a customer or personal build? Thanks
A lot of your recent projects have used Xicoy Turbines. are you moving away from SwiWin Turbines
