Greg's Watch Collection Part 1

Here are some of the watches I've been using, starting from the early 1980s. Most of these are not available to purchase brand new anymore, so they are presented for nostalgia and historical purposes. If you have one of these already or are considering buying one used, this will give you a brief idea of what each of them can do.

Of course, there are countless types and styles of watches out there, and it's fascinating how just one watch can be linked, in your mind, to a specific person you know. When it comes to these watches that I use, it's actually very rare that I've seen anyone else wearing any of these! Amazing.
After making this video I discovered that the Pulsecheck Watch's "Pace" setting has a range of anywhere from 5 beeps per minute up to 240 beeps per minute (in the jogging stopwatch mode). Or the "Pace" beeping can be turned off.
Also, it appears that the fifth watch I featured is still (as of February 2018) available to purchase new as an imported item. Here's a link... a.co/5fVaMD0
As you can see in the video, there are two watches with metal bracelets (or watch bands). The other four watches came with plastic resin watch bands. All four of the original watch bands eventually developed stress cracks at the point where I usually buckled them when wearing each watch. I was able to find a replacement band for one of them (the one with the LCD-generated, analog face) which was a match to the original watch band. As for the other three, I opted to replace the watch bands with newer bands which were not matches to the originals.
In my experience, every plastic/resin Casio watch band will eventually fail. That can be quite frustrating when the band is custom-matched to the case of the watch. Your only choice is to replace the original band with a match (that will eventually fail) or try to find something else (which is not a match) which will look okay anyway.
