Andy…. Are these really made in China? How can you get away with that? So what… you just design em and send what you want to China and they send you finished knives? I really wanted one till I saw they are Chinese.
@@TheBeefSlayerThey are manufactured to my design specifications and quality in China. We've found an excellent factory and the product only continues to get better. We also hand-check every piece upon arrival. I won't get in a China debate - I understand people's personal position on the matter. I'm not here to change anyone's mind. What I've found having worked with various manufacturer's overseas and forming real friendships with individuals is that they're just people. People like you and me trying to do their best to feed their families and live happy lives.
I am a collector my Brother lives in Lebanon Tennessee, I am going to start collecting your knives I am a bladesmith as well i will purchase all your knives i love supporting American made companys !! oh and by the way check out the German Company German Bull Brand they made the same exact doctors knife you did.
@@RoseCraftBlades Well yes the body style i was refering to both a doctor's knives and as far as the other fellow griping about Chinese making the knives i have lots of knives from Gonzo tool company and Petrified Fish including Sencut and Senco knives and the quality is outstanding! the Chinese have really stepped up their game in quality control and the fellow most likely has other knives himself made in other country's I know i do! so your quality is there as good as Case if not better so the heck with him i look forward to getting all your knives i am not big on roughrider either lol.

I cannot agree more with you, Paddy. I have to give the best traditional knife brand in 2023 to Andy Armstrong and Rosecraft. I know there is another modern traditional knife company that has been releasing fantastic models, around 1 a month, but they are not obtainable for many people due to price. A second midwestern US designer has created some great models in premium materials for great prices ... but most in limited quantities (though his grandfather would be proud). Rosecraft traditionals have good materials, exceptional fit.n.finish, reasonable quantities, and at awesome prices ... best overall value.
I found out about Rosecraft from watching your videos! I have the Beaver Creek Barlow from the first run. Stunning knife and amazing walk and talk. This Barlow never leaves my pocket. It's honestly top of the list for me when it comes to Barlows. Merry xmas Paddy!
Hi Paddy , yes I love Rosecraft , but getting hold of them is a nightmare ! I ordereid the Clinch River Swayback and the Zambezi from Cyclaire several weeks ago . Haven't seen hide nor hair of them . Apparently, they're held up in Coventry due to Customs . Take care Paddy , A T B Tony . 🐴🏴
100% RC made some quality, well designed knives... absolutely! What's out if you get the Zambezi (which you should) it likes to grab fingers. The surgeons knife is fantastic! It is Micarta.

I can't find this brand on the main European knife shops (I live in Spain) but hopefully that'll happen. I don't care where a knife is made if the quality, fit and finish are good. Everyone has a right to make a living. The Chinese are lovely people, I meet many through my work. Don't confuse people with their political system.

I just picked up a German Bulldog knife hand made in Germany it's a doctors knife identical to the one you showed here!!
I wish they were made in the USA even if they were marked up 50%. That being said I have bought a couple and will probably get a couple more.
