MDickie is a legend. One man and he has somehow turned his joke of a games into some of the best wrestling games out there. True dedication in to the craft.
What about Benoit in SVR 2008? I know his moves could still be reached by Gameshark. His finisher was called the "Clippler Crossface" (sic). I don't think there were any models or anything, though.
Yeah I had that initially, but I didn't want to include all of the wrestlers were that were taken out of games because that would get repetitive after awhile. I also had Big Cass being taken out of 2k19, Big Show being taken out of no mercy, and others. And I wanted to keep the video down to 40 topics. I wanted a lengthy video but not overly lengthy video.
Some good news for you mate, not sure if your familiar with Scott Jay, but he recently made a mod of SVR 08 with Benoits model included, if i'm correct, it's his SVR 08 model, or a recreation of it within the game, not his SVR 07 Model. There's some other models ripped from 07 but they retain the slightly glossy, shiny look that 08 is famous for
Nice video but some corrections: Lance Storm is available in games from WWE, ECW, and WCW as well as Raven. "Predator Technology" was the engine to interrupt active moves and encourage more realistic transitions in a match, not specifically a wake-up taunt. Also, the "generic garbage" nWo theme in Wrestlemania X8 was actually produced by Jim Johnston and used by the WWENWO in real life too.
Man I just wanna say I love your videos! I've been nonstop binge watching them and they're so good. Also, I wanna praise you for the fact that you included Teryo Law and the Bumpmeister community on your iceberg. That's such a niche but awesome community. I do admit it would've been cool if you also mentioned Leon Blackgrave, probably one of the biggest and most popular figures in the scene. Either way, loved the video, and hope to see more of your stuff.
Appreciate that bro! Yeah I wasn't necessarily "in" the bumpmeister community. I was a 13 year old kid who saw cool edits in a wrestling game I liked. I knew of Teryo law but didn't really know much past that. I didn't even know it was a community until I heard a New Legacy Inc member mention the term "bumpmeister" on one of their streams and it brought all the memories back from over a decade ago. I tried to look up some more things about the community or anything in general, but info online was really scarce so I just decided to mostly include this entry based on my memory.
I don't think The Undertaker will ever leave WWE games because he is such an important part of wrestling history and the greatest wrestler of all time. but if there is ever a game that does not have him then I'm starting a fire at 2K or who ever works on WWE games in the future
I still remember everything from 2K20. After a few months of this torture I went back to 2K19. It´s still a great game. 8:08 I think one of the new features of the new engine in WWE 12 was that you could change directions while performing a move. For example while doing a spinbuster you can turn left and right. Only works with some moves though.
The Andy Organ bit got me good lmfao, also i "love" the Razor Ramon ending because he came to my country and opened a pawn shop lol it is a bit sad too since the news.. Amazing video nonetheless you made me laugh my ass off haha
This taught me that some of my favorite wrestlers died and even though he wasn’t my favorite wrestler but my favorite tv show character Captain Lou will always hold a place in my heart same a Scott hall for being the first WWE action figure I got
Former THQ Sanders Keel did a podcast where he said he was assigned to Nitro in the middle of its development (and he wasn't the first.) He said they kept telling that team to work on gameplay, but every build just had more strange characters and sets
@@MortalisPT lmao he was not the first producer assigned to that group and they had already got AKI to make their WCW games lol I bet it was very fustrating as Taz might say
Sanders Keel, (formerly of THQ) mentioned on the Insiders Edge podcast that he took reference photos of Owen and Goldust two weeks before the accident for Wrestlemania 2000 for N64. So Owen was going to actually going to be in a good 3D wrestling game. There's still hope yet since AEW Games announced that he's going to be Yuke's AEW game with the WWF No Mercy director Hideyuki 'Geta-san" Iwashita, which might be called Fight Forever. I really hope it's a good game.
16:54 Speaking of that survey thing, I think WWE SuperCard was possibly a mixture between options 2 and 3. I play SuperCard and it's a turn-based RPG, plus the training/pro carding feature in that game, alongside with pitting said train cards against opponent cards, especially a mildly story-based Campaign Mode. The game is at its tenth season, so that's the reason why it might be based from that said survey.
Booker T's theme is a remix of a licensed track called "Rap Sheet". The main portion after "Can You Dig It Sucka" was also used by Booker and his brother in WCW as Harlem Heat. As demonstrated by AEW, the Hardy theme also is a popular licensed track that appears as BGM. It's a licensed track called "Loaded". Thanks for the video.
Ah yes, the magic wand storyline. I encountered this while playing as William Regal (who still wears the USA bikini as a woman). Anyway you get hit on by Viscera, face Candice at the end in female form and then afterwards you learn the whole thing was a coma dream (the wand shot at the beginning put you out for quite a while).
Fred Durst is also in WWF Raw on the PC/ original Xbox but surprisingly he's not in Wrestlemania X8 on the gamcube which Undertaker also uses "Rollin" in aswell.
5:42 Fun fact about them (AKI): Hey, don't worry because at least they even made an Japan-exclusive PSP Yakuza game with Sega, called Kurohyou: Ryu Ga Gotoku Shinsho (correct me if I'm wrong lmao)
9:30 I don't know a lot about mini discs but my guess is that data limits were in play. It's likely all the themes are different in some way. It was like that on N64 as well.
It really sucks that when it comes to wrestlin games, we don't have that many good options. I really love these games but the choices for whats there feels like could use more in the catalogue. And it makes sense, these aren't easy to make games, but it still sucks that its like this. Maybe hopefully down the line, we'll get more entries for people to try out
he said that UNLESS THERE WERE ANY like if he got unearthed years after his retirement to be like, a murderer or a rapist or something. Wasn't accusing him just saying that, that'd be the only thing causing his removal.
I think it's talking about wrestlers court. Taker had a "court" where he would judge wrestlers for backstage or in ring mistakes. And sometimes he'd give out pretty harsh punishments
I'm surprised that GameDay didn't mention this about 5 Star Wrestling in the Iceberg just like Suicide 5 Star Wrestling would actually become a actual wrestling promotion for only a couple of months because they wanted to host a unrealistic thousand man tournament and they were going to advertise the tournament as being the in ring return of CM Punk and I'm not kidding about that they wanted to pay CM Punk over a million dollars to make his in ring return in the tournament but CM Punk turned down the offer and the tournament Never happened misleading everyone and had to cancel every upcoming event closing down
YEs,but you can import CM into careere mode In UFC. In this reality Cm not only held welterweight gold, But also the Middle Weight & LHW champion. played on hard But with the settings sliders set to pro only diff is being able to see the left and right icons when on the ground for countering. give it a try.. it was nooot easy lol
For the enforcer 2k and wwe definitely reached out to mike Tyson but mike refused because he wasn’t going to get paid enough even though he was in a previous wwe game before this for wwe 13
And kinda weird raven just appreared and jake roberts and ddp podcast yesterday and raven made a suprise appearance and they were talkin about how he worked with all the companies then saw this an hour later sayin how hes in all the games lol interesting
It was related to the cover athlete Randy Orton being the Apex Predator. It was just marketing. They rebuilt the engine and allowed you to interrupt moves as well.
The great thing is, I was 12 when the weird boogeyman edge wand thing happened and its the only wwe game i played the storyline in. So I just assumed until today all wwe storylines were that dumb 😂
Those screenshot from PSM have nothing to do with AKI's WCW game. They're from a canceled PS2 of Backstage Assault. It's right there in the article. "Release date: Q4 2000" and I know for sure AKI weren't working on a WCW and WWF game at the same time.
Rest In Peace Scott Hall
Legend fr 😔 but I only heard of him the day he died
R.I.P he was the best bad man ever
At least he lives in the WWE 2K games.
He will be missed
Just glad Scott didn't die alone like the arcade game made it sound like he would
Andy organs theme rules
I hear noises in my brain-Andy Organ
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Andy organ 😂😂
“R-A-NO” 😂
Never gonna forget his match against James Pena
Fun fact: Royal Rumble released in arcades and the Dreamcast in 2000, as of now is the oldest WWE game where everybody on the roster is alive.

Sad statistic
I still have the game
Andy Organs theme absolutely killed me 🤣

damn man RIP Scott Hall @19:30
Lance Storm was also in a WWE, ECW and WCW game. He was a unlockable character in one of the ECW games and was in Backstage assault
Never guess that this will someday come out, wrestling videogames have too much lost things

One of the most famous lost characters in a WWE game, crazy he didn't put it in.
Has no one mentioned that he spelled crippler wrong just saying
The gags here killed me. You got yourself a new sub.
a 1st person view in a wrestling game for match play would be AMAZING, fun and an interesting addition

the super fire pro wrestling ending can only be explained by one thing:
it was written by suda51
wow.
just wow
"When I was 6, I was asking 'Why does a Ho cost that much?'"

Why does Andy Organ's theme SLAP so hard!?

Hogan always appears with his bandana in the video games at his request. Insecurities about his forehead no doubt.
8:57 is wierd because the Hardy's theme is already Public Domain/royalty free, so copyrights wouldnt be an issue
This channel is so underrated keep up the good work 💪
Finally a video with good audio involving this topic

Nice use of Rayman 2 soundtrack. It's the "whish you were here" of Dreamcast game soundtracks.

Ps. I copped that Freeza Final bout theme 🔥
Haha hell yeah!

SD vs R 2007 is by far one of my favorite games ever
I forgot which game but they used Jim Ross catchphrase slobber knocker where you played as one wrestler and defeated as many others as possible
Fun fact: Wrestling Empire be like: Hold my beer 🍻
The Super Fire Pro Wresting ending is sooo weird… until you realize it was written by Suda51 then it all kind of makes sense lol
Fred Durst and MDickie showing up so early on the iceberg makes me a very happy man.

Mat Dickie is a legend
Counter-point to the first few seconds of this video: Professional wrestling IS a sport!
Bret did Lonesome Dove and Aladdin on stage later. His acting ending made sense.
Predator technology was just a marketing buzzword for the game’s improved AI that year.
The Curtis Angel name came from when Chris Jericho used to call Kurt Angle " Kirk Angel "
the replaced hogan theme from wrestlemania 18 is actually kinda decent, so is booker t.
